Ryan O'Callaghan Returns To Kansas City Chiefs Practice

Stay connected for news and updates

It's been quite a while but Kansas City Chiefs RT Ryan O'Callaghan returned to practice on Thursday in full pads, according to various reports. Tyson Jackson was back as well (he actually returned on Wednesday).

O'Callaghan has been battling a groin injury that's kept him out all season.

I wouldn't take this as a sign that O'Callaghan is definitely going to play on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts

He's been out basically since the last week of August so he's got a tough come back road. Plus, the Chiefs seem to be content with Barry Richardson as a backup through the first month.

This particular week the offensive tackles become even more critical as they're going up against one of the best pairs of defensive ends in the game in Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis. The Colts like to establish a lead and send those defensive ends after the quarterback so containing them is critical.

The Chiefs will release their practice report this afternoon and by Friday they'll give a final update on O'Callaghan's status for Sunday's game.
