Last time I wrote to you, as you probably remember, I was a little bit disturbed on the way things were going with the team. As a 48 year supporter, I just couldnt take things the way they were going anymore. I was sad for the younger fans that never got to see the likes of Len Dawson, Willie Lanier, Bobby Bell, Otis Taylor and so on. But more than that, I was saddened by the fact of what had happened to our team, the Kansas City Chiefs, the most storied frnachise in Pro football History. Forget the Bears who have been around since before jock straps were used and duct tape is all they could muster. And the Lions? Yeah thats a story all in itself. Im talking about what America loves near and dear to their hearts, a winner and something to be proud of.

I know the media wants people to believe in their self proclamied Americas team, the Cowboys, but they lack something that only you and your dad have been able to accomplish with a professional football team, and that is heart. The Chiefs have heart and their hearts are as big as they get.

I'll keep this shorter than last time, but it all boils down to this. When I am pissed, I say Im pissed and am not afraid to let it be known. But, when credit is due someone, I think they deserve to have it bestowed upon them.

If I had to leave this earth tomorrow, I would be so well pleased with the job you have done handing over the franchise to Scott Pioli and the job he has done so far. I am so proud of these young men and the coaches for what they have brought back to the fans of the Kansas City Chiefs. Even if we didnt win another game this year, I am pleased I was able to get a glimpse of what can be again with the only team I have ever supported.
