Former Chief Heads To San Diego
The San Diego Chargers will have a little bit of help figuring out the Kansas City Chiefs defense when the two teams meet in Week 13.
LB David Herron signed with the Chargers. If you're a hardcore Chiefs fan, that name will sound familiar as one of the Chiefs special teams players last year. If you're not, he was a reserve linebacker that played 10 games for the Chiefs last year.
Herron played in 10 games with the Chiefs last year and spent the offseason on the Chiefs roster practicing under Romeo Crennel.
The Chiefs already have one of the league's best special teams units and Herron was primarily a special teamer that was released. The Chargers on the other hand have one of the league's worst special teams unit.
Perhaps San Diego could use a bit of the Chiefs special teams influence. It's always interesting to see players sign with multiple teams in one division, even if it just a special teamer.
Also, before you ask, yes, it's a slow news day....

hey Joel, slow news day, huh? (sorry, I had to)
hope Herron is successful out there … that team needs something, for sure … to me, the most disappointing team in the league this year (so far)
I mean, we all know the Chargers have been historically slow starters, but this is historically bad for them … at least the last several years
good luck, David … we hardly knew ye

That's like saying Mark David Chapman wasn't a very good John Lennon fan.
I can’t recall seeing a team so bad on special teams.

Nice to see----
teams taking a look at players the Chiefs drop. That hasn’t happened a whole lot in the recent past, has it?
no, in the recent past we haven't exactly had an overabundance of talent to part with

hi, Mo! 5 minutes!!!
more like they need a warm body who can tackle
what scoop would he be able to give?
“well, Romeo Crennel’s a big guy and likes Bryant’s and Haley used to yell a lot but now he lays back and lets Weis and Crennel yell instead, and McCluster is FAST! like really, really FAST!”
they’ve already played us, and they have tapes of all the games … I can’t imagine him having anything to add to thier “knowledge base”
