I know around here it is a little thing that we look at and some are on board an some are not. But my take on the thing was the obvious. It was a 42 yarder going from right to left with the wind blowing. What would have been more detrimental, having your team go for it on forth down and show a little confidence in both you O and D? Or have you kicker go out and miss it? I know he probably wouldn't have missed it, but the chances of him missing were the same of making that forth down play.
I feel though that the psyche of the team may have been a little off if the kicker goes out and you miss the kick and come away with nothing, as opposed to just going for it on forth and not making it. Not only would it have given the Jags a little more of the field, I just feel that personally when the starting O walks off the field knowing that they have points, and then all the sudden they dont, it just meeses with you. That and a missed FG seems to always jack up the other team a bit more than stopping them on forth. Just my opinion, but what the hell
