Jaguars vs. Chiefs: David Garrard Is Out; Trent Edwards Is Questionable

Stay connected for news and updates

The Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback situation is slowly but surely getting figured out before Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Here's the run down on the Jags quarterbacks:

David Garrard: He will not travel to Kansas City with the team so he will be out. He hasn't practiced all week -- he stayed at home until Friday -- as he recovered from a concussion suffered last week.

Trent Edwards: He's going to be listed as questionable. He suffered a thumb injury last week against the Tennessee Titans. The Jags are saying he'll be a game-time decision.

Todd Bouman: He's the third quarterback and may be starting on Sunday against the Chiefs if Edwards can't go. He hasn't thrown a regular season pass since 2005.

Patrick Ramsey: He was signed this week and, if Edwards can't go, will be the primary backup to Bouman.

This is good news for the Chiefs. They may not know who the quarterback is but it won't be the starter.
