Whilst watching the Sunday night game Colts V. Redskins, and partaking in the evening open thread it was proposed by Be_The_Ball that most if not all Super Bowl teams possessed one thing that hadn't been seen in a while and used it to dominate the competition... ie the Ravens super attacking defense, the Giants super attacking D-line, or as far back as Walsh and his super timing 49ers offense... So it got me thinking, should this be a magical season what would be the Chiefs super power?
My theory is that the Chiefs have the super power of Uber Discpline... What is Uber Discipline you say? Uber Discipline is forcing a team to beat you instead of making mistakes to beat yourself. You see the goal is to have a bend but dont break defense and an offense who pounds it on the ground while protecting the football, all while playing fast smart football. And it appears that this ground work may be being laid. You see currently the Chiefs are tied for the fewest Turnovers in the NFL (with 4), second in the league in penalty yards (143, 21 more than the Dolphins), and second fewest penalties (18, 17 for both the Dolphins and Bucs).
So what does this mean you ask... It means that to beat the Chiefs, you have to actually earn the victory, it means that the games will come down to actual talent... And if Pioli and company are as good as billed at acquiring talent (which I think for the most part most of us think they are), then the Chiefs future looks bright... So here is to the Uber Disciplined Chiefs team.
