What's Up With That: Week 6

Here's something I might start doing every week, we'll see how it goes. If you got a name suggestion go for it, I'm open to ideas. Sort of like come on man but a poor man's version maybe. This more or less will be focused on a bonehead move, or a couple and what not. Sometimes may be more about KC but some will include the league. Might be rough because I'm not a great writer.

What's Up With That? Seriously!

I think this is a given. Yes the pass interference penalty called on Brandon Flowers late in the game which led to a Houston game winning drive. The refs need their eyes checked or their wallets after the game. This is a ridiculous call. I know we were in Houston but come on man! There's no reason that should have been called. As we have all seen by now it was obviously Andre Johnson with the offensive pass interference not Flowers. If the refs had eyes they would of seen Flowers jerk going in motion and should have realized it was OPI. This is one of the worst calls I've ever seen in my life, honestly. They need to start allowing pass interference replays because in situations like this where the game is on the line is very critical. Something has to be done, these refs have been terribly horrible this year so far. I also say that the refs start being more responsible and start seeing some fines, penalties their way, or hell, even their jobs for screwing up. What's Up With That?!

Cowboys

What is up with that celebrating man? You would think that after last week when they got called for unsportsman like conduct (celebrating in endzone after a touchdown) they would have learned. Especially when in the end; it cost them the game. It gave the Titans an extra 15 yards and they returned it all the way to the other side of the field. A few plays later and Chris Johnson went into the endzone to score the game winning touchdown. Then there is this week, two 1-3 teams facing off, who before the season were both NFC/Superbowl contenders. This time it was Miles Austin, their star receiver leap frogging Roy Williams in the endzone. Oh look there's yellow on the field, oh a 15 yard penalty for celebrating in the endzone after a touchdown. Wow. You think they would have learned after the mistake from last week which cost them dearly. The next touchdown Dallas scored, caught by Dez Bryant, they finally smartened up and just gave a simple handshake. Granted the league is taking the fun out of scoring but rules are rules and they must be followed, and obviously Dallas needs to learn that and stop celebrating or they will be celebrating the Superbowl alright; from the stands.

James Harrison Hits/NFL Rules

What is up with the wimping up of the NFL? James Harrison will likely get fined for his hit on Cleveland Brown WR Massaquoi. I hate the way the NFL seems to be making the NFL "two-hand touch" football. I know there are limits to some hits, like concussions etc. I know they are trying to protect the players in hope not to damage their lives or get them killed but at some point you still gotta be able to play football. James Harrison is a nasty football player and makes some of the biggest hits you'll see. I'd love to see a Chief play with that level of physicality. This is a contact sport, contact football, if people complain about the hits then get over it and go watch another sport. This isn't golf. This is for the men of men. I understand and completely agree with the defenseless receiver rule and trying to protect players from concussions; but when are we going to get back to playing old school, hard-hitting, grind it out, classic, FOOTBALL, the way it was meant to be played.

Give me your What's Up With That moment if you have any or tell me what ya think about these.

Well that's this week's addition of what will hopefully be a new weekly thing from yours truly.

Until next time, GO CHIEFS!
