I'd take a shot on him
I think he could help out opposite of Tamba.
Vrabel may have a hard time staying on the field all season as is.
Plus, even if he doesn’t get healthy until the last quarter of the season, we’d get his performance against SD, where you know he’d be extremely motivated. He also should be motivated to show something this season so he can get paid in the offseason. I don’t think he’s had a ‘big’ contract yet, so I’m sure he wants to show what he can do and earn one.
I don’t think he is what he was, injuries and the lack of PED’s have taken their toll, but I think he’s worth a flier. If I had to guess, though, he gets swooped up by the Raiders on waivers.
Maybe not, though, he was getting 3.3 mil this year.
i don't want his lights up seizures in kc...
karma’s a bitch for what he and his steroids did to priest holmes.
I was actually at that game, in SD
I want to improve, if he can help us do so, and can ‘fit in’ then I’ll take him.
Our pass-rush has been much improved, but we still are 22nd in the NFL in sacks. Tamba needs help.
I’m not sure he can provide it at this point, but I’d be fine with bringing him, cheap and finding out…even if he needs to sit for a month to see if he can get closer to 100%.
As a FA, he will get to pick which team he wants to be with
so it will be interesting how that turns out. I don’t think a team will be willing to throw money his way, but there are a lot of dumb owners out there. That said, would he want to join the Chiefs to shove it in SD’s face? But for him to choose KC over Denver (since both run a 3-4), KC probably has to make the playoffs.
For some reason though, I see Merriman going to the Patriots and bringing his career back to life to help their bad pass rush. But I see face-rubbing as a valid reason for Merriman to want to join the Chiefs.

I think he'd be too expensive to sit on the bench behind Tamba...
He’s not better than Vrabel/Studebaker at this point in his career, so I say No Thank You.
We are 2nd to last in the league in payroll
No one should be to expensive to do anything.
If he can contribute on the 53 man, $ shouldn’t be an issue.
The question is whether or not he would be better than Vrabel/Stude. I’m not sure if he would be later in the year if his health improves, I would pay to find out, b/c of the potential upside.
i could see denver taking a shot at him with ayers and dumervil both out
if rhymes were valiums, i'd be comfortably numb

I'm talking about for the remainder of this season
And I believe he will have to pass through waivers before he is a FA.
I’m not sure he would make it through waivers, and I could certainly see Den or Oak (teams with a higher waiver Priority) snagging him before we have the option.
Suddenly that Derrick Johnson over Shawn Merriman pick looks like it's tipped in our favor
WHO THE HELL COULD HAVE PREDICTED THAT!!?
2010 predictions live by em die by em
