Yeah that was Bowes fault

But just because it was the only decently thrown pass for more than 5 yards in the game doesn’t give Cassel a pass. There was no excuse for his inability to exploit a beat up Colts secondary.

Only decently thrown pass more than 5 yards?

That 4th and long conversion was a rocket.

It’s some of his underneath passes, oddly enough, that were less accurate than the long balls today.

Chiefs - back in the playoffs in 2011.

you seem to show up exclusively to bash Cassel

I’m not a Cassel lover by any means but just an observation

2010 predictions live by em die by em
- Chiefs do what they did last year and double their win total.. Good for a second place finish in the AFC West
-McCluster is considered for ROY, doesn't win it
- Arenas takes two to the house
- Carr becomes a legitimate corner
-Flowers gets jipped in Pro Bowl voting

F Bowe

should be what title is

by rockchalks7 on Oct 10, 2010 3:14 PM CDT reply actions

Nope

Bowe dropped 2. Cassel threw it to him twice. His bad

16-0 here we come!!!!

by mushin on Oct 10, 2010 3:18 PM CDT up reply actions

yeah that makes sense

F**k Cassel for throwing to his #1 WR twice. Wow, some people are blinded by hatred

We’ve got a lot of guys that fall into that group that are young players," "that now want to win games, want to be part of something special, something good," "That’s the plan. I know I’m not going to waiver, I know this quarterback, why I like him so much, is that he’s not going to waiver and he’s not going to crack." Todd Haley

by KC4Life on Oct 10, 2010 3:37 PM CDT via mobile up reply actions

Not hatred

I put it on the QB for 9 incs in a row. yes bowe dropped two. But you have to put this on who owns it.

Actually, you;re right. Screw Haley and Weis for letting Cassel on the field in the 4th

16-0 here we come!!!!

by mushin on Oct 10, 2010 3:41 PM CDT up reply actions

Umm

Cassel didn’t start playing horrible until the 4th

Open your eyes people

Cassel SUCKS. Bowe just adds fuel to that fire.

by Coady on Oct 10, 2010 3:24 PM CDT reply actions   1 recs

Matter of fact

My uncle who is a die hard steelers fan and hates the chefs with a passion just texted me and said,

“your d was awesome, you qb sucks”

by Coady on Oct 10, 2010 3:25 PM CDT reply actions

what would really take the sting off this one

is if san diego loses and currently they already down 12 0. Oak has blocked 2 punts. one for safety and one now for td

by rockchalks7 on Oct 10, 2010 3:30 PM CDT reply actions

Screw SD. This has nothing to do with any other team

this is a problem with our team

16-0 here we come!!!!

by mushin on Oct 10, 2010 3:41 PM CDT up reply actions

I have backed Cassel 100%

But it looks like its time for Croyle…The O-Line looks like they can keep him upright, and I say lets see what Brodie can do with these weapons.

Same here

I’ve always tried to stay optimistic with Cassel but enough is enough. See what Croyle can do and if he can do better than Cassel than stick with him.

If nothing else -

give Cassel a little bit of a wake up call. This is not a team that is drafting in the top ten anymore, its all about winning football games. The QB is far too important in this era of the NFL and Defense and special teams will put you in position to win, but the offense has to execute.

i had

enough of cassel’s inaccuracy and always staring down his targets not able to push the ball down the field at this point QB and WR need to be addressed if they dont start getting it!

by rickrock58 on Oct 10, 2010 6:54 PM CDT reply actions

NO MORE CASSEL!!!

Hes shown us un 19 games that he is inconsistant! There is NO WAY Brodie can do any worse! Its time to try Brokie and hope we can protect him!

by sdchiefan on Oct 10, 2010 7:31 PM CDT via mobile reply actions

Brodie never had the line or the weapons that Cassel can't seem to utilize.

You can’t do any worse with him in there…and if he gets hurt, Cassel will be right back in to stink it up some more.

eagle fans

Might want to consider becoming an eagle fan cuz some of these comments. This is a young team, it is a process and they will get better. I know that I am in the minority but I believe in Matt and the Chiefs. Whah Whah Whah, you’d think we got blown off the field.

I'm hoping Cassel pans out.. But it's highly unlikely at this point

On the bright side however, this game is proof that If we can bring in a solid young QB next year. We could be contending for the next five years.. Assuming the Colts are still “the Colts”

This team is young and very talented, we have a lot to build on

Just because

People are complaining about Cassel’s inconsistent play doesn’t mean they are not behind the Chiefs and believe in them. Mention the DEFENSE which continued to give the offense a chance to win games. This game was similar to the Cleveland game in that the DEFENSE won that one and if it weren’t for Flowers’ INT returned for a TD we wouldn’t have won that one. Yeah Bowe dropped a TD pass, but Cassel tried to force it in on a 4th and 2 at the beginning of the game too. The improvements on defense are evident, it is the additions to the offense and the inconsistency of Cassel that is making people wonder. The defense continues to do their part, when is the offense going to do theirs? This Indy game was winnable throughout with the Chiefs defensive play, but Cassel, as has been the complaint of many, could not lead the offense to a win.

Does anybody know...

Of somewhere that tracks the average distance of a QBs passes? That is, not incuding any Yards After Catch- only what the QB actually threw.

I would bet a good deal that Cassel’s “actual yards per attempt” is one of the lowest in the league. You can’t be a great team anymore with Captain Checkdown at QB.

Yes, Bowe’s drops were killer today. But it’s hard to know what this offense would be capable of with a QB that really forces the defense to respect the long ball.
