1st vote yeah!
100% for Pioli, lets close it up now haha
Young, dope & flashy.
I voted approve
I liked how Pioli was constantly looking to upgrade the talent on this team during the season. It was such a change from the year before, where I believe Carl only brought in a few new players
What the world needs is more geniuses with humility, there are so few of us left.
and only when injuries required that he do so.

but more importantly I hope he keeps doing what he thinks is right regardless of whether or not people approve. Do what’s right and follow your plan, don’t change course everytime somebody makes a comment.
I gave him a big thumbs up.
There was some complaints about Scott not making himself available and/or not seen in public, as if he were avoiding the press. I am positive he was not hiding or making himself unavailable to anyone. Where was he? Scott loves to scout. He was checking out talent is what he was doing. Going to College games and probably while he was at one of the ND games, just happened to stop in and have a little chat with Weis.
He already knows who he would like to get in the draft. (please no mock drafts in this thread)
Yeah, let's just keep matriculatin' the ball down the field, boys! ...

It sounds like we have an actual direction now and the front office knos the direction and personell they are going to target. Lets see what we get. One ? about one scout since it looks like WQeis is going to be a Chief. Will Tate work out for NFL scouts in the off season or not to give the Chiefs a better chance to get his services?
Irony
I find it very ironic what is on the tv in the background.
I voted approve
However.
2010 draft better be as good as the 2009 draft was bad.

Sorry Craig
It’s still way too early to call the 09 draft bad. I’ve lived through this too many times. I remember when John Alt was a bust. Hell, I remember when Tony G was being called a bust for dropping balls. What do you say if Colin Brown comes in next year and takes a starting job and goes to the Pro Bowl. Or Washington comes in and pushes Carr to the Nickel back and becomes a shutdown corner. Those things happen and your whole perspective on a class changes.

It looks bad so far...
but it really depends on a lot. Jackson and Magee are at a position that takes awhile to develop, and they might end up being solid picks. The rest of the guys we just haven’t seen enough of yet to make a judgment. At least we know Succop was a solid pick.
Approve.
I think the best way to judge him is to look at what has gotten better and what has gotten worse at each position.
Better:
The OL has gotten better. O’Callaghan was a steal. Too bad we couldn’t see any of Colin Brown this year.
The WRs have gotten better. The dropped passes are an issue, but I’d still argue that Bowe, Chambers, Wade and Long are better than Bowe, Bradley, Jeff Webb, and Devard Darling.
The DL has gotten better, IMO. A lot of that has to do with Dorsey continuing to develop (when he was out the , but overall I still like the T-Jax pick. He didn’t play lights out, which is what the 3rd overall should do, but he did play safe and stuck to his assignments. He played like a rookie getting familiar with the NFL. My only guff is that a guy like that didn’t need to be taken 3rd overall. Regardless, T-Jax looks like a safe, solid pick.
Worse:
You could probably make a case that the safety position got worse, but I’m not sure. Pollard got burned a lot when he was here. Brown has had some questionable plays, especially in that 2-3 game stretch where he might have single handedly lost those for us. I’m not going to gripe much over the safety issue though.
3 to 1 ratio in a first year isn’t bad. He had a lot of evaluating to do this year, and he weeded out a bunch of guys that can’t even find jobs right now. He has to have a slam dunk year in 2010. Bring in at least one big time impact player. 2 would be preferable. His draft has to be lights out this year. with the extra 2nd rounder, no less than 3 starters should generate from this draft.
My sentiments are likely to be summed up with one of these 2 quotes:
"Shut the f--- up."- Matt Cassel
"WHAT THE F---?!?!"- Todd Haley

I want to see a Clark Hunt approval poll.
That thing will be through the roof. He is trying the best he can, and he’s not holding back any cash to make this a better team.
I would say that a lot of Pioli’s non-rookie signings made large impacts. Can’t really judge the rookies yet though, so I really am approving of what Pioli’s doing here.
yes, I think he's doing great
The main improvements he can make over Lamar are 1) to be an active owner – not an Al Davis meddling style – but to fully enable and engage with the GM to proceed quickly and spend money wisely (don’t be cheap to try to save money or boost profits but don’t spend it frivolously) and 2) don’t let a GM overstay his welcome. I think Pioli will be successful and lead this team to the SB. And, I think that he or any GM needs a reasonable time period with which to work. However, Lamar stayed with Steadman and Peterson waaaayyyyy too long. There is something to be said for loyalty, until it becomes the wrong thing to do because it is hurting you.
Air Cassel - approved for takeoff
