Tate is one of if not the top prospect available. Ok hold on before you start bringing up whoever from wherever hear me out. This guy has got some unbelievable abilities and he's a GOOD, CLEAN, and EDUCATED kid. He jsut spent how many years with our new OC?

 When I was in school there was a term we used to describe his type it was BMF. (The first word is bad.......)

  Tate is not some thug who is likely to be up on weapons/dope charges, what have you, before training camp. If they're gonna spend large dollars he would be the safest bet. That's what they all are, they are gambles. Cheeseburger Charlie knows this kid and his abilities, and if at all possible Tate will end up in a Chiefs uniform or I'll kiss Charlie's BIG bare ass in the middle of main st. A little about Mr. Clausen after the jump.

   Now for Clausen, he's a cocky SOB not quite as cocky since some local yokel dotted his eye though. All that aside he is gifted and has a pretty strong arm, whoever gets that one will be glad they did. The defensive players of the NFL will temper his steel and he will perform and perform well. ND had a pretty big O-line yet in the Michigan game guys smaller by an average of 50# blew them off the line.

            I guess I'm trying to say Clausen, at times, had to be able to think and move quick and generally did. Mr. Tate's abilities to get open quickly saved his ass quite a few times. So if he had a half assed offensive line in front of him..................

       This may sound old but ND wasn't that far off of one heck of a season. Their defense cost them several games, not to say there weren't some ballsy offensive calls at times that didn't pan out either but the defense is what cut them short this year. From the looks of things the planets may be starting to align for KC, to have measured success for a few years we'll need more than what we have on hand in the QB dept.  Clausen on the sidelines for insurance this year and a starter next wouldn't be a bad situation to be in at all.

   When you think about it the "dynasty" teams always had three key people. Aikman, Smith, and Irvin come to mind and I hate friggin Dallas! But if you have those three positions covered with talent........... Obviously Charles counts as one third of the equasion, Cassel and Bowe? I don't think so. We may have some considerable success with the three we have now but  Tate would damn sure be one more third of it. Now if we were to get both Tate and Clausen after playing together all that time at ND and Charlie to boot?........ (low whistle)  Might be a pipe dream but it would be one heck of a pipe.

   This may be the most interesting offseason since Montana and Marcus Allen got on board quite some time ago.
