I am seeing a bunch of praises for our O-Line recently. let us not forget that we played some pretty bad teams to close out the season and lost (minus cincy). Denver went 6-0 then finished 2-8 which was worse than what we had finished (3-7).
Jamaal Charles made our Line look better than it was. The fact that he was in the backfield changed how teams came at us. Yes, he broke tackles, and his speed busted through the line. However, when LJ was in the backfield, it was 90% run. When he wasn't it was a 90% chance it was a pass. Our offense with LJ was easy to read, but placing JC changed that. The fact still remains that we need some changes on the O-Line to be even more competetive. If JC has to keep making all these yards on his own, he will end up getting hurt before the end of next season. If he gets hurt, then we goo back to being easy to read, and teams can focus in on downs to break cassels legs, ribs, arms, back, neck, and pinkie toes.
This last game is something to build on. But lets be honest with ourselves, it might be a mirage.
