It's good to be back on here. I haven't been on in awhile. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Oh and a happy new year! So let me start off the year with my first 'Random Thoughts' post of the new year. So here we go....
*For starters, I want to give props to Jon Yoon for his post "Dear Scott Pioli". Jon, I gotta hand it to you man - you hit the nail on the head (at least for me). The point you made about Chiefs fans being duped on numerous occassions during the previous regime was right on the money. So Jon, I give you a big thumbs up for your work.
*For the 2010 Draft: I hope that we don't draft another D-lineman with our first pick. Anything else but D-line please!
*Peyton Manning gets my vote for MVP this year. He's playing the best football of his career. I'm not talking statistics - I'm talking about personnel. The running game hasn't really wowed me, and Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark are the only big-time receivers on that team. Manning has carried that team on his back by making clutch plays all year, and he's the main reason why the Colts have been so good this year.
*Speaking of the Colts: I don't think Indy fans should really be mad about the loss to the Jets last Sunday. Here are three reasons why they should not be upset about it.
1) Keeping the starters healthy is key.
2) They have rested starters in previous years when the season winds down.
3)Going 15-0 is great, but that doesn't mean much in the overall scheme of things. While I did think it was cool that New England went 16-0 in 2007, guess what? They lost the Super Bowl. A lot of people have complained that the Colts "blew a shot at history" and it just annoys me. Here's how the Colts can make history this year: win the Super Bowl! That's the only thing that should matter right now.
Well I'm done. Feel free to respond. Take care!
