Random Thoughts (Pro Bowl Edition)

Ok here we go.

*Switching the Pro Bowl from the week after the Super Bowl to the week before is NOT A SUCCESS, Mr. Goodell! The commissioner said that this year's Pro Bowl is garnering more atttention. Sorry Roger - it's not the kind of attention you want.

*I don't see the Rams taking N. Suh with the #1 pick. Giving a rookie football player $40M in guaranteed money is already risky, but DTs take a lot of time to develop. Don't get me wrong - I think Suh is a stud. And he does have the potential to be a game-changer. But that seems like a lot of money to fork over for a defensive tackle.

*I wish Chan Gailey the best of luck in Buffalo. He's gonna need it.

*You gotta love Kurt Warner. From stockboy to Super Bowl champion. He's one of thte classiest guys in the NFL. He better be in Canton five years from now.

*If he thinks his body can handle it, Brett Favre should come back to Minnesota next year. He obviously wants to get to another Super Bowl - and Minnesota is a SB caliber team. Brett, if you can handle one more year in the NFL, then get your old *** in the end zone!

Ok feel free to respond.

Quite random indeed

I like the post though and agree completely with your thoughts.

*Goodell ruined what little pleasure I had in watching the Pro Bowl. I heard 40% of the selected players are not going to be there, so how can this be called the best of the NFL? The game should be after the SB, because now you have ruled out the top players of the top two teams automatically. Poor decision.

*The Rams have greater needs in skill positions. Suh will not be a Ram

*For Chan and all the ex-Chief coaches, I wish them the best and I’d like to see them make the Bills a good team. (may they never be able to compete with the greatness of the Chiefs though)

*I have great respect for Warner and also wish him the very best. He should be a lock for the HoF.

*Agree on the “Old Man”. He is amazing and still has more ability and guts than most starting QBs. I’d like him to give it one more just for the sake of calling it his last gasp. He is a true Football Icon. Of course I don’t like some of the junk that brought him to this point, but I’d like to see him play one more year.

  • I think that if the owners and players want to save the NFL, then they need to get-r-done. It is time to sit down, come to good old fashioned negotiated agreements together, and sign the new agreement. Otherwise, the league will be hurt for years.

I hope Favre comes back just so Warner gets his own time when he is inducted to the HOF. If he and Favre retire now it will be the Favre show for sure.

If someone asks you if you want extra mayonnaise you have to say yes, cus that's part of it.

Who could pass up the chance to slap Jared Allen on the ass everyday?

ME! lol

Winning begins with Attitude - Haley and Pioli will be winners in KC!

I'll forever be a Chiefs fan! Only God himself could take that away from me, but when I get to my great reward, I'll rejoin two bigger fans, my Mom and Dad.

+1 Great point! I completely agree

Matt Cassell will be a top 5 QB in 2010
Jamall Charles will be a top 2 RB in 2010
Chiefs defence will be a top 15 in 2010
I will be a Chiefs fan until the day I die

Nice post.

Be an Iowa boy I definitely agree with the Warner portion.

Pro Bowl works after the SB, because it's the only football around for fans in post-partum depression.

Before the SB, it just reminds me of all the guys who’ve been dissed over the years, and what a farce it is. After the SB, at least you see some of the SB players, winners and losers, before the blush is off the blossom.

Give Goodell credit for trying to do something different with dead week.
