The Ultimate Teammate
Not only can the guy play, he seems like the ultimate teammate. I am so upset that we do not have Jared Allen on our team, b/c I would love to hear him talk about letting Matt Cassel slap him on the butt everyday.
UGH!!!
"Vikings defensive end Jared Allen wants Brett "Silver Fox" Favre back with the Vikings, and he's willing to pay the price to make it happen....
"Silver fox," Allen pleaded on NFL Network Friday. "Everything but my backside loves you, but if you come back, I will let you slap my rear end every single day. In no way gay at all, but I will take that stinging pain and I will eat it every day." (amazing)
We were going to quit speculating about Favre for a few weeks, but this should basically guarantee his return anyhow."

JA is the coolest!
I wish he was back here where he belongs. :-(
I'm not going to lose sleep over a Viking.
The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far is as needed?
Wow swim coach...I don't know if I remember you posting recently or not.
Anyway. We have nothing of real news to banter about, so JA is as good as anything. That’s funny that he said that. I love JA. What a loss that was. Stupid stupid stupid. Anyway, tks for the laugh. I thought that was pretty funny of JA to say that. He’s a really cool guy.
JA is awesome
But with the emergence of JC, the sting of losing him is becoming less and less.

JA
is a half-wit redneck. I’m glad he’s gone from KC. I know he’s worshipped in the Ozarks but he’s not exactly my idea for face of the franchise. Maybe if I liked NASCAR, drank Coors, and gave myself haircuts I’d think differently. But I don’t.

I'm glad that he's gone too
We have done so well without him. It's much better to have no face than a red neck face
My sentiments are likely to be summed up with one of these 2 quotes:
"Shut the f--- up."- Matt Cassel
"WHAT THE F---?!?!"- Todd Haley

Give me Albert & Charles anyday of the week
for Jared Allen. You put Tamba on Minnesota’s front line and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him put up similiar numbers. Not saying Allen isn’t good, just that moving him wasn’t a bad move.

*Sigh*
But Albert and Charles probably could have been…..
No. I’m not getting into this again.

My only response to that is...
that JA’s last year in KC the Chiefs were so awesome. They won the same number of games as this year’s team. It is so sad that he helped us win so many more games. I mean with Sackintosh playing LT, he gave up more sacks than JA could produce in a game. I would much rather have Sackintosh playing LT and LJ playing RB as opposed to Albert and Charles (sorry i can’t do sarcasm font ;) )

Ok, apparently I'll have to get into it.
How do you know that keeping JA would have meant we didn’t get Albert (or more likely Ryan Clady) and Charles both?
You don’t know that. You’re using a straw man argument to defend your position. You’re acting like the only option is to have EITHER Allen OR Albert/Charles, so we ultimately got the better deal. I argue that the better deal would have been to keep Allen, draft Clady and Charles. LJ probably would have been traded, because the common suspicion was that Peterson was only willing to sign one of the players to a big contract extension. He chose wrong.
So, I would argue that we could have had Allen, Clady, and possibly Charles, PLUS whatever pick/picks we could have gotten for LJ (I’m guessing a 2nd and a late rounder would have been viable).
Regardless, hindsight’s 20/20, so…. you know…. yeah. It’s all kind of pointless. But I reserve the right to be pissed about the Allen trade until we have another pass rusher of the decade to make me forget about him, or we win a playoff game…. whichever comes first. And I will exercise that right.
And, BTW, it’s:
< c o d e > type your nonsense here < / c o d e >, only remove the spaces in between the < >.

Hey, I give myself haircuts?

Winning begins with Attitude - Haley and Pioli will be winners in KC!
I'll forever be a Chiefs fan! Only God himself could take that away from me, but when I get to my great reward, I'll rejoin two bigger fans, my Mom and Dad.
