5. Kansas City- CB- Joe Haden- Fla
- The Chiefs main need is on the defensive side of the ball and the secondary is arguably the weakest position. Joe Haden can step right in and be a good cover corner which will help the defense tremendously. Don’t under estimate the effect a good corner has on a defense. It will allow for more blitzing and provide safety help in other areas.

And I'd venture to say we're set at corner.

Our secondary, while not great, is pretty far down the list of things that need to be upgraded.

Unless, that is, Carr can play a dominating FS…which I don’t really think he can.

Yeah I agree

It makes no sense to draft a corner when we already have two and are in need of upgrading the safeties. However a dominating corner does affect the entire defense. You also need more than 2 good corners now with the way the league passes.

True, but I could argue we don't know just how good our corners are.

Our pass rush sucks. Improved from last year, but it still is bad. These guys have to cover some insanely drawn out routes due to our d-line’s lack of pressure.

I’d rather fix the front 7 and see what happens as a byproduct.

Who's mock draft IS this?!?!?

That is a terrible analysis. NT, ILB, and WR are all worse than the CB position…

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes; after that, who cares?! He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!

This guy is

 right!
I’d love to see the Chiefs draft another corner. Flowers is good but shoulder probs first two seasons in, is worrisome. He’s a bit undersized, if Chiefs can get a Corner that pushes Flowers out of the #1 then they have drafted a hell of a football player that will have an immediate impact, and that would have a major effect on the entire D!

Haden.

This guy is the defenition of a shut down CB. Not saying I really want the chiefs to take him but I wouldnt mind it either, because there is never enough good talent at any one position in the nfl IMO. Here is what he has done to some of the best wideouts in college ball.

A.J. Green-Georgia-3rec 50yds
Julio Jones-Alabama-2rec-28yds
Mardy Gilyard-Cincy-7rec-41yds
Brandon LaFell-LSU-4rec-44yds

Green, Jones and Lafell are all said to have first round talent. Gilyard is said to be in the 4th round range, but still had a hell of a year this year. All four were also held to 0TDs this year against Haden. Again I wouldnt like the pick but still wouldnt be upset about it either.

With all the arguements that a Safety or a ILB doesn't deserve top-5 money

A CB certainly does if Berry or Haden could be that said CB than the money is right :)
