Cassel sack history is alarming
Cassel is not mobile and he has been known to hold onto the ball too long. His sack issues are far from all the Chiefs’ offensive line’s fault. Cassel was sacked 47 times in 2008 as Tom Brady’s injury replacement in New England. In 2009, Brady was sacked just 16 times.
In fact, Cassel has been the second most sacked quarterback in the NFL the past two seasons, his only seasons as a starter.

Its nice they forget
how bad NE’s line was last season. It wasn’t the same guys from the 18-1 season. It’s the reason Brady got hurt to start the season off. They were injury riddled.
Hail to the king, baby.
Well hopefully the last few games of this year were an indication to what will come.
The running game opened up… defenses couldn’t just tee off on Cassel… sacks went down…. Cassel looked better.
Are we seriously trying to dog on Cassel for the same shit from his time in NE? Deja Vu man, I feel like we did this about 11 months ago. Circumstances change. There’s no doubt that Cassel helped NE win some games. There’s also no doubt that our pathetic OL got Cassel sacked an awful lot. We have yet to find a middle ground to see how good Cassel is. Let’s not start this debate up again.
My sentiments are likely to be summed up with one of these 2 quotes:
"Shut the f--- up."- Matt Cassel
"WHAT THE F---?!?!"- Todd Haley

why does everybody forget about history
When Peyton went to the Colts, James led the league in rushing, This helped take the pressure of Peyton. When Big Ben went to the Steelers they were a rushing game.
The Pats used to rush the ball more when Brafy took over.
History has shown when a QB becomes a starter, you need to have a good rushing game until the QB gets experience. Then each year you give the QB more freedom with the play calling and passing. Their isn’t a QB in the draft I would take over Cassel.
