A possible DT prospect for KC??
Torrell Troup is a 6-3, 320 pound DT from UCF. Here's what Coach Crennel had to say about him after the east-west shrine game.
"Troup showed that he is a very physical and strong guy on the inside," said East head coach and Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel afterwards. "He can push the pocket. He’s a good kid. He tries hard and does what you tell him to do. As a coach, that’s exactly what you’re looking for."
Could this be our nose tackle of the future?

yes he could!
I liked what I saw from him yesterday, I think he’d be a great 4th or 5th round pick… IF the Chiefs get a starting NT in FA

I had this guy pegged in the late 2nd for KC

That was, of course, just a throwaway mock, like most others. But I think Troup’s an underrated prospect, and if Crennel’s quote is any indication of what many other GMs think of the kid, then Troup may very well climb to the second round after all. Obviously I’d rather see him turn out to be an all-time steal for KC, but you don’t plan on steals. They just happen.
