Chiefs All-Decade Team: Defensive Ends

Following the trend from around the NFL blogosphere, I decided it was time to name the Chiefs All-Decade team, AP style. We still start by voting for each position and I will be posting polls over the next few days. The data will then be compiled and will comprise the first ever official Arrowhead Pride Chiefs All-Decade team.

We will vote for 11 offensive players and 11 defensive players, as well as HC, GM, LS, KR/PR, P, and K. Players who receive 10% of the vote or more at that position but do not win will be named honorable mention. Once all the positions have been voted on, the winners from each position will be placed in another poll -- Chiefs MVP of the Decade.

I will alternate between offense and defense on my FanPosts since most of the offensive picks are less controversial. We will then hit special teams and the coaching staff. Now its time for defensive ends. To be eligible for voting, the player must have started a game at DE this decade (sorry R-Kal Truluck) and started a majority of their games in the NFL at that position. Two players will be chosen, so the two players that receive the most votes will be named the Chiefs DEs of the Decade. Polls will close in 30 days since I don't know how quickly I will be able to get these polls up.

Player profiles and stats are available after the jump. Feel free to comment to back up (campaign possibly) for your vote. The source for all positions/statistics will be pro-football-reference.com. Thanks for participating and feel free to rec to keep this alive. I know some of these picks may be obvious, but I wanted to keep it democratic nonetheless. If you see someone not listed, please let me know in the comments. Chances are they didn't start a game, or maybe started more games at another position (e.g. DT vs. DE), but I have missed a few.

DISCLAIMER: I know some of these names will bring back some painful memories and possibly a little anger. For some anger management tips, click here.

Here are the winners so far:

Polling has closed on these positions so if you didn't get to vote I apologize, but you will just have to wait until next decade. **NOTE** Glenn Dorsey will be listed in the DT poll since he started 16 games there last season, meaning he started the majority of his games at that position this decade and not at DE. Thanks to all who participate!
