Chiefs CB Flowers May Need Surgery?
Kansas City Chiefs CB Brandon Flowers may need surgery according to, uh, Brandon Flowers.
His Twitter page had this entry this morning:
"up earrrrrrly in the airport...on the way to alabama to c if i need this surgery then after that to fla"
Definitely nothing concrete on what potential surgery there could be but I can take a guess.
He missed the first week of the season with a shoulder injury then was placed on the injury report several times towards the end of the season with another shoulder injury (but didn't miss anymore games).
Well-known sports surgeon Dr. James Andrews has an office in Birmingham, Alabama.
Again, the type of surgery and the surgeon is just a guess on my part.

perfect time for this
Healed and rehabbed before OTAs.
I'd imagine 24 wanted to play
I believe the players make more being on the active gameday roster than they do on IR.
Predictions:
Kansas City will not win more than four games in 2009
Kansas City will have a new OC and DC in 2010
Kansas City will win at least seven games in 2010
And if he’s not out there, someone else is. A)object is to win games b)he wasn’t going to let someone else come in and possibly take his job. Shouldn’t lose your job due to injury, but reality is it happens.

He's a young kid who wants to play, I get that. Haley should have made the call and told him to go for surgery. We need him more next year than we did this year. I like that he got the experience, showed that he can play through pain, but still.
He’s gonna be huge investment for the chiefs and I’d like to not lose him cause he damaged his shoulder more than he should have…
It really comes down to what the injury is
If there is no risk of making the injury worse and the rehab time fits fine into the offseason, then you let the kid tough it out and become a leader in the process.
This is my signature line. It is full of awesome and win.

I saw a report last week
That said Flowers and Charles were both looking at possible shoulder surgery right away. Should be hearing something from JC on the matter, but he is pretty quiet.
OK...the Koolaid buzz is gone now. I'm forced to admit that the state of the team had deteriorated far beyond what I had realized. The good news is I get to start mixing up a fresh batch of koolaid for next year. Oh Yeah!
Jamaal's issue is that his shoulder keeps popping out of socket.
We had a report on here the other day that said it happens all the time (which I certainly remember hearing during games), and he just pops it back in. I’d imagine the proposed surgery is to help keep that from happening so much.
healing
What’s the potential time for this kind of injury to heal
We're not even sure what the injury is, exactly

My sources tell me
That what Flowers has is a “Boo Boo”. While JC is trying to recover from an “Ouchie”.

heh...your source has to be Herm then
I still laugh when I think about Herm’s “boo boo” comment

Flowers will be having Rotator Cuff surgery...
while it has been said shoulder over and over… Rotator Cuff is where the damage is and depending upon how much damage is done he could be recovering for a year.
My guess is that Brandon Flowers believes he will be ready for OTA’s.
If he's going in for a penis extension and it works....
count me IN!
Winning begins with Attitude - Haley and Pioli will be winners in KC!
I'll forever be a Chiefs fan! Only God himself could take that away from me, but when I get to my great reward, I'll rejoin two bigger fans, my Mom and Dad.
