hell yeah

* "I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season

I don't know about you guys, but

I am really pleased with how Tamba has progressed. Maybe this is just what he needed to refresh his career.

It's about time

For all us that said he just needed (insert adjective here) well, here’s his chance to prove us right.

It will be the D

and run blocking that gives us a shot in this game.

If our D can put up some points and give us a couple turnovers we have a shot.

Looking for big plays from Flowers, Leggett, Tamba and Mays.

We do have guys who can make plays. Let’s hope they can do it all together.

+1 I'm looking for DJ to show up even knowing he's not the starter on the depth chart

Also looking at Tanks play, hope he is eating up their offensive line all game.

I too am kind of expecting DJ

He’s had all week to get out of Haley’s dog house.

Sackoff (McIntosh,Goff) like Brangelina.

Secret weapon

Although it was fun to make a comment on Balt Beatdown that our D is so good, Derrick Johnson is now 3rd string.

by sunny D on Sep 9, 2009 1:31 PM CDT up reply actions

Don't hold your breathe on DJ, men.

He earned his way into Haley’s doghouse with poor play.

Anybody remember that game where we went in there and punched them in the mouth?

Billick said “they out-physical’ed us.”

Best compliment I’ve ever heard.

God damn you know I have some cognitive dissonance when

I start to think we have a chance in this game.

Tyson Jackson vs Michael Oher will be an interesting matchup

Rookie vs Rookie. Jackson has impressed me thus far. This will be an interesting game to see how he handles a hostile crowd on opening day.

measurments:

T JACK:
6-4
296 lbs

Oher:
6-4
309 lbs

Pretty much a wash. Its going to be fun to watch. I don’t see Oher taking on Jackson 1v1. I see Jackson eating up double teams all game. Exactly what we want!

If Oher played for Haley

He would be about 30 pounds lighter

I will have you know

that Tyson Jackson broke the single season sack total in my apartment in Madden 10.

I played as him on D every snap and he recorded a healthy 26 sacks! He had a gfazillion pressures and he even picked off a ball Dorsey knocked lose and returned it for 6.

he is a stud I tell you. A stud.

I had a real rough time against the Colts in the playoffs

I couldn’t get to the QB. What I love about his new game is you can play as a D lineman and it is fun.

Even if I don’t get a sack I can generate a lot of pressure which makes me feel like I am actually doing something on D.

Games passed I felt like me playing made no impact.

Agreed

Huge upgrade compared to 09’. I remember trying to rush the passer on older versions using E. Hicks. Nothin doin man! Haha! No offense E. Hicks still got love for ya but ther is a new DE in town….

How is DJ not the starter? Last year he was without doubt our best LB?

Demorrio had some nice speed..But no way he starts ahead of DJ right?

by CALIFAN1986 on Sep 9, 2009 1:31 PM CDT reply actions

He got outplayed by Demorrio? Wasn't Demorrio injured for most of camp..

Just seems strange to me..

DJ never reached the expectations we had, but hes always been solid and that was far better than anything we had last year at LB

by CALIFAN1986 on Sep 9, 2009 1:34 PM CDT up reply actions

I don't get that people say DJ doesn't fit the system

That hes too small. But Demorrio is smaller than DJ. Its clear hes in the dog house and just hasn’t performed. Can anyone remember his name popping up in camp reports for good or bad?

I don't want no Yo-Yos

by AK_47 on Sep 9, 2009 1:37 PM CDT up reply actions

i didnt see anything about him

i got to see the seattle game and did he play that game i cant remember becuase i sure didnt hear his name at all …… idk you go off the radar i guess and no one knows your there maybe thats why hes 3rd in the depth chart cuz he isnt doing anything now

by redmedicone on Sep 9, 2009 1:40 PM CDT up reply actions

atleast he can pride himself

on having the nicest website of any 3rd string LB in the nfl :)

I wonder

if he’s already written his HOF enshrinement speech?

by jmcgoblue on Sep 9, 2009 2:00 PM CDT up reply actions

haha

he needs to steal Grossmans quote “Im going to be the best 3rd string QB in the NFL” and make it his own

by tomahawk44 on Sep 9, 2009 2:40 PM CDT up reply actions

DJ played pretty well in the Houston game. (6 tackles)

Against the Vikings he played lousy with a capital “L”. That is why he is in Haley’s dog house. He looked like he didn’t have a clue what he was doing.

by G.L. on Sep 9, 2009 2:41 PM CDT up reply actions

Don't sleep on Demorrio....

….that guy can flat out play. I think he has had some nagging injury issues the last few years but seems he is feeling and looking better. When healthy he is a pretty good tackler and has some serious sideline to sideline speed. He is on the small side, always has been even in college, but so is Bob Sanders. Not sure he will ever be a superstar but he is definatly a servicable LB.

Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.

Yeah, but hes a big Yo-Yo

ain’t no sacred cows on this Chiefs team

I don't want no Yo-Yos

by AK_47 on Sep 9, 2009 1:32 PM CDT up reply actions

DJ is kinda like

the Lamar Odom of the NFL. He has the skills but doesnt seem to showcase them every time he hits the field/court. Sorry to go B-ball on yall….

I want K.C. Wolfs' job!

by Jonezin4KC on Sep 9, 2009 1:33 PM CDT reply actions

lol

lol, Tamba is great and all but Mays is coming in behind Dorsey for some sacks. haha

by Chiefsfan85 on Sep 9, 2009 1:52 PM CDT reply actions

Hopefully it won't be

Dustin Colquitt for KC MVP…as is usually the case in most of our games the last few years…
