They can sack the quarterback now, at least in the preseason. In four games, admittedly all losses, the Chiefs racked up seven sacks out of their new 3-4 alignment. Also a big help, they say, is a more confident and aggressive attitude hewn from head coach Todd Haley’s unrelenting in-your-face approach.

Seven sacks in four games.
Nothing to write home about, but far and away better than we’re used to right now. If that held throughout the season, we’d be at 28, almost three times better than last year.
As someone pointed out before
We had quite a few sacks in the preseason last year and it didn’t mean shit. I think this is a pretty good article though, and an awful lot of it points to Haley’s hardass approach as a major reason for the change. I predict we will have 35 sacks this year….and I’ll hold to the defense #19 prediction. Much better than last year but not stellar yet. Can’t wait to see how they do in a real game for four quarters.
Chiefs go 9-7. LJ makes 1400 yards. DBowe makes 1200 yards. Defense #18.
