San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman was arrested early Sunday on suspicion of choking and restraining television reality show hostess and model Tila "Tequila" Nguyen, according to deputies.

I’m with you there man, there’s no excuse. From the sounds of it (she evidently went to the hospital) there was some physical sign it happened, so I definately agree. However they could have been checking for non-visual indicators of the attack. shrugs Hopefully the details will come out in time, rather than be swept under the rug.

Merriman should be thrown into a dumpster, the dumpster picked up by a garbage can, and it’s crushed contents emptied into a San Diego landfill. That’s the way to treat trash like this.
As for San Diego, if you’ve ever sat through a game at their antiquated stadium, you’d know the bolts on the side of their jerseys are all these fans care about. At least here in KC, we call for a guy’s firing when we know he definitively committed an act like this.

my buddy is the biggest san diego fan and its just funny how last night before this news
dropped he was so excited that the san diego chargers have been kind of quiet and havent had no distractions at all this offseason only to have this news drop . he is hating life right now. hahaha
