Fan Favorite
Not much else going on after the let-down. That is to say, the news of our two latest additions to the team. Who knows, they may be a welcomed surprise, but I'm not going to hold my breath until I see it first-hand. I'm hoping that they make such an impact that one of these guys becomes my new favorite player. Each of us has a favorite player or two on this team and more than anything, we want the Kansas City Chiefs to succeed. Moreso than that, we want a win and we want it badly. A win this weekend against the New York Giants would be miraculous, but again, I won't hold my breath. It would take a drastic turnaround from last week and God's hand to make that happen. Am I hopeful? Absolutely, but I am also a realist. But I can tell you this, I will be praying for the big "W."
Regardless of the outcome this weekend, or the results of games 1 through 3, Cassel has become one of my favorite players. It's just something about his work ethic and leadership skills that, if all else fails, I want him to succeed. I think we all have those types of players that if we can't get the win, we at least want our favorite(s) to succeed and show he, or they, deserve to sport the red & gold. I love everyone who proudly dons the Chiefs uniforms, but Matt Cassel is my favorite. Interested to know who your favorite is and the reasoning behind it.

Some of my favorites
Cassel, for the same reasons you listed
Savage, because he’s one of those 10% talent / 90% effort kind of guys
Flowers, I really think he’s going to develop into one of the big time corners in the league
Mays and Belcher, I’d love to see one of these guys become one of those diamond in the ruff success stories
The Good: Moved the ball some, stopped the run
The Bad: penalties and not getting a FG before halftime
The Ugly: losing to J. Russel who couldn't hit the broad side of a barn from five yards away
Mine
Dion Gales….although he is on ps right now.
DBowe – he is awesome
Derrick Johnson – Like his speed and forced fumble moves.
Hopefully Lance Long will catch on….he will be a lot of guys favorites…

My favorites
Cottam-hasnt done much but just have love for him
Belcher-goes out there and does what is asked of him
Page-7th round pick that was well worth it. I love his hard hitting.
Charles-takes blame for his mistakes and isnt a tool like another running back on the team
Cassel...
He got a lot of people with his passion so far…if only he had some protection and the Bowe Show back to throw to…

Allen mainly because of the one-handed pump up the crowd move...and because he was a beast

Ummm
anybody still sporting a Chiefs uniform? I agree, loved both of those cats, but you have to have one that is currently playing for our boys, don’t you?
Put this in your pipe and smoke it:
1. Chiefs will be at least 8-8 and vie for division champs
2. DJ will break out and finally have his year
3. LJ returns to form
4. DBowe drops will reduce

Obviously Cassel since he represents the future...I'd love to seem him become a top QB for the Chiefs
I like Flowers a lot, a lot of potential there. Probably not the shut down corner people make him out to be, but he’s developing just fine.
Albert, before the season, represented a base on the line to develop around….based on what I’ve seen this year I’m not so sure.
Succop…he IS perfect of the year, how can you not root for a guy that was the picked last in the draft.
Not that many that I’m in love with really….This is (another) transition year for the Chiefs. There aren’t any “True Chiefs”, ( The Tony G’s the Shields, the Roafs, the Holmes, the Greens, the Okoyes etc.) left on the team. I’m sure after a year or two these “True Chiefs” will imerge. But with 30 something new guys, there aren’t many cornerstone players on the roster that I’ve fallen in love with…..yet.

Current favorite – Boom Shock-a-Locka Cassel (since Thiggy’s gone)
All time favorite Chief – Jared Allen, Derrick Thomas, Priest Holmes, Marcus Allen
All time favorites all NFL – Bo Jackson, Drew Brees
Negative Ghost Rider the pattern is full...
Succop, Just want to get that Chiefs kicker aura going again.
We Will kick at least 4 Teams Asses in 09
And Succop will be the Key in two of them.

My Guy from the past would be
Albert Lewis.
Total shutdown corner except for that damn pass vs Jets in playoffs, but blocking kicks and all made me forget the few plays he got beat on.

Cassel
he is fast becoming my favorite

Present day:
Like Cassel for his fire, I think he’s gonna be a gamer & really like what Vrable brings to the D & hopes he starts showing more passion on the field & getting in the other players grills to fire them up!
Blasts from the past:
Use to love watching the Lenny & Otis show when we had the ball, & Willie Lanier & Buck Buchanan when we didn’t. Jan Stenerud was always a sure thing waiting in the wings.
I almost forgot Gary Barbaro
I was number 26 in Junior High because of that dude!

Met that guy
and he was cool as hell. Also liked Art Still, Joe Delaney, and Gary Spani…
