RT Tony Pashos to be cut?
Tony Pashos-T-JaguarsSep. 2 - 10:10 pm et
NFL.com's Jason La Canfora suggests that Jaguars OT Tony Pashos could be among the team's final cuts on Saturday.
Interestingly, La Canfora says Pashos "has been moved inside (to guard)," essentially meaning either rookie Eben Britton or free agent pickup Tra Thomas will be Jacksonville's starting right tackle. Pashos won't start at guard, and his $4.34 million salary is way too hefty for a swing-type reserve.

I say sign him up ASAP and let him fight it out at RG or RT. The more bodies the better on the O line and he would be a huge upgrade for our running game. Maybe move Alleman to Center and Pashos at Guard?

sign him up, cut Goff and McIntosh

I'd rather cut McIntosh and keep Goff
then cut Guycheck or Niswanger. Both are just plain terrible at C. Guycheck is a Cinci reject and Niswanger is waaaay too tall to get the right kind of leverage off the ball for a center.
Bask in the glory that is Kwame Harris. Poor Alex...
I really don't think Niswanger's height is the issue
He’s what? 6’4" or 6’5"? Most NFL centers are in the 6’3" to 6’5" range.
Pashos at RT for sure since that is his natural position.
Put Alleman at RG and grab Matt Lehr at Center. Now that’s an offensive line. Taylor, Richardson, Ndukwe, and Niswanger as backups. We would be in pretty good shape for a while.
Ndukwe is the better RG.

Here is the first post from a thread at the Jags blog about Pashos being moved to guard:
Great in every respect. Tony is utter garbage and he better show up at Guard or he’s toast. You don’t pay a back-up his salary.
goff
is pretty old, pashos is 29…
but my first move would be for a WR from the cards….no one will want the contract, our best shot on pashos is to wait till he passes waivers
unless we want that cap hit to hit the min
He wont go to waivers.
More then 4 years league experience and I’d be shocked to see a RT like this guy clear waivers even if he was eligible. I wouldnt say hes utter garbage either. The Jags are going younger and spent two first day picks on tackles so he’s just the odd man out.

I posted this last night in fanshots...
And I think he looks like the first legitimate RT to come available. Based on the ranking Chris posted in the spring he ranked out at #13 RT in the league.

Tra Thomas has always been an Eagle since he was drafted and almost always their starting RT...
Youre thinking of someone else :)

I'd personally give Thiggy straight up for him
if he is better than what we have. If Thiggy isnt playing, he is doing us no good on the bench.
"But what do I know, I'm AP's new assclown and I’m like an empty room with a large ECHO"
bold statement
but, if he became a starter, it’d be worth it, for sure

If he is available I am sure we will look into it….
Pioli did stay that extra day in KC to watch tape of players that may be available…
