Ok everyone, I'll be coming to KC next Friday (I can't wait!) and I need all the help I can get from the locals. I'll be staying in Downtown for Friday & Saturday night...then heading down by the stadium for Sunday night before flying home Monday.
So....I'd like some ideas on where I can go? Like sports bars, good eats, etc. Keep in mind that we're walking or taking cabs so nothing too far.
Also, who is going to the KC/Cowboys game? I'd like to meet up with some of you for tailgating (where's the best lot?) or socializing. I plan on bring my own beer and being incredibly drunk...just sayin.
Anyone driving by downtown on the way to that game? We need a ride....lol
Send me an email (email in my profile) if you want to meet up for some AP chit chat and beers, or if you want to meet up at the stadium for tailgating. I promise I'm not a serial killer...you might be though, hmm.
Anyway, I would love your suggestions!!!!

its the really one of only three places in KC that has a good night life. Brookside has a great bar, its my favorite place to go.

at the power and light district… it’s worth visiting… but like everything else there, it’s easily duplicated….

Food – I don’t know Downtown as well as Brookside and Midtown, but Blue Bird is damn good. Le Fou Frog too.
Drinks – Go hollar at my hommie Fiona at Harry’s Country Club in the River Market. Avoid White Power and Light at all costs unless you’re looking for a dude with a badass tribal band tat and a Livestrong bracelet.
Friday night – Hottest dance party and hottest cuts are always at Chez Charlies.
Sunday – Lot C is where I always tailgate, gets pretty hyphy. After the game, 8 pm that is, check out The People’s Liberation Big Band at the Record Bar. Cheap cover, best tasting beer and town, and out of this world local jazz.

We will definitely have to arrange something.
My wife is a big colts fan, so we have kind of set our sites on the next time the colts are at Arrowhead (we went to the Chiefs Colts game in Indy a couple of years ago.) i am hoping they play there next year.
So this years AFC Championship then?

Ive been talking to a season ticket rep. via email this year b/c I was going to get season tickets this year but I held out.. thinking that was a good idea but he sent me an email to about putting down 100 bucks to reserve seats for next year and said that these are the home games next year.

My understanding is
the Cowboys game might actually be sold out for reals, as in people actually turning up at the stadium. Which can only help the atmosfear!

wnen i went to denver in 01 my and my fam almost got lost we stayed at team fauiluy like 45 min to a hour away from the city i am sure kansas city is big allthrough being from cal u are used to it my town is 60-000 peopie nott hat big wean u compeare cityes central in kc there a 2 hour diff

I am not a drinker….but it sure as hell sounds like you are…lol….nothing wrong with that. To each their own. I am looking to take this whole thing in. Not very often will I get a chance to go to Arrowhead with my Brother the Cowboy fan and watch them play live and in person.
Looks like this will be a great Chiefs experience for us both….
I plan on taking a lot of pictures and I hope to be able to make something like a fanpost to share my 1st experience at Arrowhead.
