after week one at Baltimore, when the few of us on here who had the balls to tell it like it is got our asses handed to us for being negative, I decided to sit back and let the season do the talking.
I would say it's probably safer now to once again tell it like it is. But trugh is, nothing haschanged one bit since game one. Game one the Ravens had zero tape on us. They didn't even know which QB to game for. We had the element of being unknown. We had all the chips in our favor and gave up 510 yards and 38 points. That should have been all we needed right there.
Now I'm pretty sure that we all have gotten the point here KC fans. WE SUCK! Horribly. In every department. When your star play maker is a kicker, your team is screwed. Even Cassel is playing horrible. Watch the Buffalo game and watch Edwards under constant pressure in a losing battle still look smooth as was possible given the immense rush he faced all day. Brady Quinn could have been our QB at times and looked as good under center.
I'm not saying we have no hope here. Again Buffalo and the 49 ers should be proof of that. But we are not the Falcons or the Dolphins of last year. We are more like the Bills or 9ers, a work in progress. If you can use the word progress and Chiefs in the same sentence without being expelled from school.
It all adds up to whatever we do with the draft and trades next year. This year is in the bag. We're a 2-14 team if we're lucky again. And I stress that we will need luck to help us get even 2 wins. We get worse every game. Not better. If we started this started this season in the ICU, then we're on life support now and fading fast.
And yes I will say it again at the risk of being yelled at again for it; Even the Detroit Lions would beat our as*%es. I have been the biggest Haley suck up this year and I admit it. But he has even me doubtingnow, and because of our record. I am not shocked that we need more than 3 games to get it right here in KC after the last 2 seasons, but because of his decision making during the last 2 games. His play calling in the second half yesterday??? What was that about?
Either he is a secret genius and is going to make us a worlwide phenom over the next couple of years or he will be sitting next to Herm calling games on CBS.
