Scott Pioli to blame?

Don't get me wrong, I think Scott Pioli is a great GM and we were lucky to be in position to hire him.

But, Scott is to blame for the lack of talent on this football team at the opening of the season. Not Herm, not Carl Peterson, not anyone else.

At the beginning of the season, the Chiefs were at the bottom of the payroll and they had close to the most cap room in the league. It is unacceptable to see a team void of real talent and not fix it. Remember when Todd (that guy Scott hired) said at the beginning of the season "I know we have a pretty good punter right now".

So what did we do to fix this lack of talent?

GOOD

OK

BAD

If we signed one of these top FA we would have at least beat Oakland and maybe we would even 2-1 right now:

This is a really cheap team. If we want to win more games we need talent, and we need to spend more. The Chiefs have the cash! We didn’t get it done this off season. I know its early and there is plenty of time for improvement. But still, I want my team to have the best chance to win every game. I am not saying be like the Raiders and waste all their picks and cash. But the KC Chiefs organization owe it to the fans to put the best team they can on the field.

GO CHIEFS!
