On a side note Jamaal Charles looked awesome, Haley is starting to really trust his team going for it on 4th down two weeks in a row coming up some aggressive plays, and putting LJ in a lot more even though his numbers were not so good in the first half, also Savage looked like our best punt returner since Dante Hall, if D bowe would have been in I think we would have still lost but been much more competitive. Let's face it guys we love the Chiefs we aren't gonna stop watching but I dont see us winning a game for a month or so.

You're partially right
The Chiefs are going to be overmatched against every team they play this year in terms of talent. So its probably unrealistic to expect to be in every game.
However, just like you don’t give up on a student getting F’s and say “Well thats all he can do”, you don’t give up on a team like the Chiefs.
Despite the talent questions, there SHOULD NOT be the penalty problems. There SHOULD NOT be the continued problems with getting plays off on time. There SHOULD NOT be the continued mental breakdowns that we have seen.
Even if you are not as good an athlete as the guys on the other side of the ball, you can still play well and fulfill your responsibilities.
Right now the Chiefs are an F student that doesn’t look like its even trying.

It's fitting that I should be grading student test corrections this morning.
Out of 24 students, only 7 bothered to turn them in, and the work I see is mostly half-assed. It seems that most of my students, like Todd Haley’s, either don’t get it or just aren’t buying into the program.
upamtn’s “Social Promotion” strikes me to the heart. I’m dealing with the product of years of social promotion. Very little in the way of training in the subject matter, and no idea of what it means to take a college course.
Like Haley, I seem to be almost the only one who cares about learning, here.
But no, you can’t be mad at your F students. You just have to give them the grade they earned.
No question. Otis Taylor should be in the Hall of Fame.

I think he is comparing himself as teacher to
Haley. In that he wants to teach his students and learn from them, but they don’t care and Haley cares but his players don’t.

I disagree - preseason is about getting ready - problem is, now it IS for real
and this team isn’t even CLOSE to ready yet in a lot of ways – and THAT’S what matters
