Lions Roar Past Chiefs With Third Victory in Last 28 Games
This oft-repeated statistic has been used to describe the Kansas City Chiefs an awful lot recently.
The Chiefs have won two of their last 28 games.
The Chiefs saving grace has been, well, at least the Lions are worse. You know, the 0-16 Lions? Unfortunately, today they beat the Redskins today which marks their third victory in the last 28 games.
Yes, the 0-16 Lions snapped a 19 game losing streak today. Pride of Detroit started their post-game article with this:
Coming into today, the last time the Lions won a game was on December 23, 2007, against the Chiefs.
Indeed there has been some progress in areas but three games into the Todd Haley era and the result is the same.
It's hard to talk about progress when a team that went 0-16 last year has move victories than the Chiefs in the last 28 games but it's there in certain areas.

Indeed there has been some progress in areas ...
sure missed seeing that today
Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisiton!
I had a lot of hope
but most of that is gone right now…I gotta feeling this is going to be a LONG season. I thought the OL was making improvements. I was wrong. Hopefully we can beat the Cowboys or Skins…but 0-11 is a real possibility now IMO. Looking forward to the ’10 draft…though we have so many needs.
Unfortunately,
the Lions victory over the Redskins means there will be a buttload of people talking about how we should have no trouble beating Washington now. Sad, but I don’t really see a victory on our schedule anymore. Today was simply pathetic. The talent gap between the Chiefs and the rest of the NFL is just tremendous.
I remember Dawson to Taylor, Kenney to Carson, and Blackledge catching the snap in his facemask. Seen it all...

creativity
you got to get creative when you have no offense line run the pistol , the wildcat the full house back field ,double reverse passes stuff like that takes pressure of the offense line and if they dont get creative it will be a long season…….
sadly, but...
WE could be the Lions of this season. The first chance of victory looked like Nov. 8, but Jacksonville seems to have awoke. I’d like to believe that another team going 0-16, especially in consecutive years is nearly impossible, but this years squad could make it happen. When your O line gives you no protection the last thing you need is numerous penalties week after week. We have to be leading the league in two categories: number of penalties and the most three and out’s. Can anyone verify or nullify this? I buy Sunday Ticket so I can watch the Chiefs, but year after year of disappointment is making me wonder if it’s just better to hear the results rather than watch this train wreck every week, and save around $300.00 annually. I guess it’s morbid fascination with how they’ll find new ways to fail that keeps me watching at this point. After all, there is really no highlights from this teams performance so far. It’s been a long 40 years of supporting these guys, but what’s a few more years at this point.
terrible
this team is horrible not only do we lack talent at all positions ( including QB) but we have poor coaching i mean the play calling has no creativity and very time we made any sort of play we commited a penalty which is unsmart players and haley preaches we will play smart and i was wondering has tyson jackson made a play yet this year cause i haven’t seen it.
Ya know
the Lions were getting the “lions share” (heh heh) of the grief last year. But I’m not sure if we played them last season that we would have won. I think the Rams, Lions and Chiefs were pretty much equally bad last season. The only teams we beat fired their coaches after the season. Unfortunately we have a much tougher schedule this year than last. I just hope at the end of this year we’re not in the same position.
