Keeping the Faith
Good evening ladies and gentlemen. I've been giving it a lot of thought lately, and like a lot of you, I was unbelievably upset after the game on Sunday. I just don't understand how we could let victory escape our grasp like that. We were right there, people. I was so bummed that I moped around for hours after the game. If it wasn't for my children, I probably would have locked myself in a room and dwelled on the loss for the remainder of the night. Yes, I'm that pathetic. However, as with everything else in the world, you have to let go of the bad and focus on the good. To our dismay, our beloved Chiefs, like our children, must learn to take their lumps. They must fall off their bikes and get right back on, and I see them doing just that. They are learning to ride and they are getting back in the saddle. It is only a matter of time before they get it right. I have all the faith in the world that it will come together before season's end. Maybe I'm el numero uno homer, but I believe. And speaking of believing, the Chiefsmas Spirit has paid me another visit. Please enjoy my latest creation after the jump, sung to the tune of Jingle Bells...
Slashing through their line
With a handoff to L J
And through the air we’ll score
Laughing all the way
Cassel passes will sling
On a fake handoff they’ll bite
Chiefs will strike a mighty blow
Flying home winners Sunday night
Oh, 1 and 2, 1 and 2
1 win is on the way
What fun it is to hum
And sing the Chiefsmas song today
Oh, 1 and 2, 1 and 2
Winning’s on the way
Keep your hands and feet inside this ride
Cuz the Chiefs will come to play

Sorry dude...
but I don’t get the whole Christmas spirit in September. My neighbors have had Halloween decorations outside their house the day after labor day. I don’t understand this premature holiday spirit that some folks encounter. Don’t get me wrong, I love Christmas and the holidays no less than the next guy. I just don’t get into the “spirit” until the week of.
It's Not About Christmas
It’s the feeling you get when Christmas is getting close. That feeling is tied to the feeling we all get when the Chiefs games are drawing near. It’s like waking up Christmas morning, only to turn on the tube and watch your beloved Chiefs. Sorry if I confused anyone…
Put this in your pipe and smoke it:
1. Chiefs will be at least 8-8 and vie for division champs
2. DJ will break out and finally have his year
3. LJ returns to form
4. DBowe drops will reduce

I get it
I do know what you mean. Waking up on game day is a bit like Christmas morning – you don’t know what you’re gonna get! Although I’m not quite ready for the holidays yet, I sang that tune in my head, not bad! When Christmas does get within reach, be sure to give us another to get us in the proper spirit.
Hey, at least our punter is pretty good, so we got that goin for us, right?
