Three Key Eagles and Three Chiefs on Injury Report

The Philadelphia Eagles have placed three key players on their initial injury report for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The following players missed practice today:

QB Donovan McNabb (cracked ribs)

Did not play last week and is very questionable for Sunday.  "If he can function and not be in danger, keep himself out of danger and he can play, then he can," head coach Andy Reid said this morning.  Reid also said McNabb can throw right now just not with much velocity.

WR DeSean Jackson (groin strain)

Left in the second half of last week's game.  He went through the morning walk-through today.

RB Brian Westbrook (swollen ankle)

Reid feels good about his chances to play since the swelling in a sprained ankle suffered last Sunday has gone way down.

Other injuries: LG Todd Herremans (foot) and CB Dimitri Patterson (fractured hand) are both out indefinitely.

The Chiefs also have three players that were limited in practice today.

LG Brian Waters (leg)

He hurt his leg in last Sunday's game.  He missed a few plays but was back in the game.

TE Jake O'Connell

He's been injured on and off so this might be a precaution

LB Derrick Johnson (ankle?)

DJ had a minor ankle sprain that caused him to miss some time earlier but we're not exactly sure what this injury is.

QB Matt Cassel (knee)

Precautionary.  He'll play.

CB Brandon Flowers (shoulder)

See above.

If Jackson, Westbrook, and McNabb are all out

I say we have a GOOD shot at this game. Even though they will run the wildcat (it won’t beat miami’s wildcat)…so im not too worried about it.
I put the Chiefs down in my football pool to beat Phili so they better not let me down!

Jackson and Westbrook are playing...

But even in their absense, still no shortage of weapons.

Bye, Big Stew and JJ :(

Not To Be A Downer Here

but Oakland was lacking some key players too, and what good did that do us? They’re a worse team than the Eagles and we couldn’t even handle them in front of our home crowd. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for the Chiefs grounding the Eagles in Philly. I even think if we continue to progress as we have the last couple of weeks, we stand a good shot. We NEED this win now more than ever. A win in Philly would give us a tremendous high to fly back into Arrowhead.

Put this in your pipe and smoke it:
1. Chiefs will be at least 8-8 and vie for division champs
2. DJ will break out and finally have his year
3. LJ returns to form
4. DBowe drops will reduce

it'll depend on which team shows up

KC’s week 1 team or KC’s week 2 team

According to Reid, Westbrook will likely be playing.

Good

I hope Haley sends somebody to intentionally step on that ankle. I don’t know, maybe Tank Tyler? That would be awesome…

Am I a horrible fan if I start Jackson if he's available?

I mean, I’m just saying…
