Not buying a QB change in Kansas City - AFC West - ESPN
I don’t buy the fact that Haley is considering benching Cassel. It doesn’t make any sense. It wouldn’t be fair to Cassel, Haley himself or the team. It’s been one game.

agreed.
no way is there any kind of QB controversy
no way is there a QB on the roster better than Cassel
* "I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season

If Croyle out-performs Cassel in practice on a consistent basis, or...
… if Cassel gets nicked again and Croyle shows improved “processing,” Croyle is a threat to win the starting job. Cassel’s still top dog, but NO KC QB has won a game, yet, in ‘09. That’s huge, and until that happens, Cassel BETTER be lookin’ in his rear-view mirror!
No question. Otis Taylor should be in the Hall of Fame.

Yah I doubt it too.
But I was thinking about Haley’s M.O. He did the QB shuffle with Leinart and Warner and that turned out pretty damn good. So I wouldn’t put it past him.

Big difference though
Warner was an established winner, a former Super Bowl MVP even. Brodie has only shown to be a competent QB with a GREAT arm but below average football IQ.

yes that's true enough 1970...oh and by the way
you need to dig up my post about my brother and read my reply’s to you….. I really appreciate you….
and back to AZ. The fact that Warner was an established winner only makes me feel more secure in what I said. It’s hard to believe that Haley would have bounced back and forth when he knew he had a winner in Warner.
I feel a little bit like it’s possible he might do the same thing here too. It’s mostly doubtful and unlikely he would considering the Croyle stats are not good enough to merit a serious second look. But Haley surprises me a lot. I don’t know really. Do you think if Cassel doesn’t do a better job this week he might consider it?

Whassup Kray???
Thanks for the kind words. It has been a really tough year and may even get worse before it gets better but, it’s great people like you here at AP that help keep me distracted. I have met many people here and there is one thing I can say for sure:
The Chiefs fans and the folks here at AP are some of the finest sports fans anywhere in the world!!!
We all want to win but, as soon as there is a brother or sister who is hurting, that becomes the top priority above everything else. Great amount of perspective here on AP. I am so sorry for your loss and I hope you are able to find comfort very soon.
