Home Opener Experiences

Alright, AP....I had the thought that I am sure many of us attended the game today, even though we failed to have a successful AP-Tailgate (And Chris failed to let me in the pressbox). I wanted to make a forum for some of us to share our experiences today and gauge the feeling of the place and such. What were memorable moments to you? Where did you sit? etc.

Star-divide

I'll start. My partner bailed on me late last night so I had to fly solo today. Got in Arrowhead at about 920. Got a great spot just inside Gate 4, nice...Made some rounds in Lot C (saw a former teacher...weird). Went in to the stadium early and to talk with Haley very briefly. Also spoke/got autographs from Mays, Belcher and some others. I like the new ribbon board a lot. It is quite different than the "Bingo Hall" look of the former screens. My seat was in section 324 row 2. So basically I was on the 49 1/2 yard line and right on the inside edge of the upper level. Pretty awesome view...I highly recommend it. Memorable moments for me were when Cassel did the sneak for the 1st down early and got up and was so pumped....the place definitely appreciated it. Also, the last defensive series, that place was rockin. We definitely did all we could to help the boys out. Good game day. I was/am worn out from it...

I agree, in the 4th quarter, the place was rockin like the Arrowhead of old.

Good to see the fans really get into it again. Also nice to see that it really affected their line and led to a few false starts.

- Overall, i like the ribbon board but I think that it needs to be managed better. The way that they showed the league scores was horrible. For those of you that weren’t there, they show the logos of one team and then evenly spaced, they show a number and then the other team logo and then another number. It is also constantly moving slowly around the stadium so it makes it hard to focus on IMO. Hard to explain but I don’t like it.

-I like the fact that they showed the fantasy scores. I’m addicted.

- I also think that they need to have a larger ‘permanent’ scoreboard or at least more prominently feature the downs.

- My last gripe about the stadium is the replacement of the troughs with urinals. The bathroom by my section shrunk quite a bit since individual urinals were put in.

-Concessions are numerous upstairs and the lines were short though the stadium was only 3/4 full.

Still a great place to tailgate and an awesome place to watch a game.
