I was thinking

about a few headlines I would like to see. Something that could potentially affect the Chiefs. Stick with me now.

Star-divide

We know what Charlie Weiss is going through at Notre Dame. He had 2 good seasons as head coach, struggled in 07 and again last season. So what happens if Notre Dame struggles again? Does Charlie Weiss go back to the NFL?

Headlines:

Charlie Weiss released/resigns as Head Coach of Notre Dame's football team.

Charlie Weiss announces an interest in returning to the NFL.

The Kansas City Chiefs introduce their new Offensive Coordinator.

Would Charlie Weiss fit as an OC here in KC?

Since we're talking about coordinators, does anyone think its possible that we'll see Romeo Crennel as a D coordinator or does Haley stick with his homeboy Clancy?

I would love both of these moves

Big fan of both of these men, and with their leaderships on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, with Haley keeping the team in check, this would be a pretty damn good coaching core.

That was a ****ing long run-on sentence ehh?

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes; after that, who cares?! He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!

I still think Clancy is just being used to kill time until Crennel is ready...

Unless somehow this turns around into a top 10 defense this year.

wow.

Imagine Weiss and Haley working together. My god.

Haley is too much of a control freak to have an independent OC under him

I think eventually he will assign one of his assistants as an Offensive Coordinator when he finds he can’t keep up with all the duties, but that guy will pretty much be Haley’s puppet and he’ll probably still control a lot of how the offense functions.

I just can’t see a guy with an ego like Weiss being willing to do that.

I have no idea...

I was just being feisty…

I don’t think there will be a problem with Haley having too much to do…

I think Carthon is the de facto OC as far as doing the crap Haley doesnt have time for…and that saves him time and such…

I do think Crennel could come here.

Most people knew Pioli was waiting for Haley to be finished with the SB, to hire him.
And most people knew Haley was waiting for Crennel to decide if he wanted to coach this year, before he announced who got the DC job.
So unless he gets a better offer, I think he will be here next year.

Herm is gone things are better with that one move!!

Now a Quality D-coordinator is a different fish altogether

I think Haley and Pioli would love to find a proven D-guy to make the 3-4 go.
So any consideration would have to be a 3-4 D-coordinator :)
