Hmmm by that rationale you should also hate a guy named Clark Hunt

He owns a team in I think Kansas City, and he donated money to John McCain

Bad post

Best part of being a Chiefs fan is that we’re all true fans and not much else matters on this board

You always have to watch discussing politics and religion

cause you have to figure the USA is a 50-50 nation right now. Plus no matter what you think about a political party, most people vote and support candidates they believe are in their best interests. The fact is for the most part Republicans have been the party of the private sector with lower taxes and regulation and the Democrats believe the government can do it better and should be more active in regulating business. To have a bigger government to do this requires higher taxes which the Democrats recently have favored taxing folks in the higher income brackets (which are most NFL owners and players). Most owners probably are Republicans because it is in their financial self-interest.

Not that either of those positions are wrong depending on your beliefs but they should be open for debate just as we debate other things like running a 3-4 versus a 4-3. The bottom line is what works. However, too often we don’t debate politics or religion because they are such highly personal issues that if someone disagrees most people tend to take it as a personal affront and then the name calling begins leading the political discourse to be a step above the fan confrontations of European Soccer games.

agree with most of this

the only part i disagree with is i firmly think far to many people are clueless to what the issues truly are and vote for someone with who they no nothing of their stances. but everything else is spot on, especially the soccer mention.

This was a study done that was published?

Ha…I looked up the majority of the owners in my spare time over the offseason. Who donated what to who is all public information.
