Will Your City Show the Chiefs v. Raiders Game?

506_medium

  New England @ NY Jets
Greg Gumbel, Dan Dierdorf
  Oakland @ Kansas City
Kevin Harlan, Solomon Wilcots
  Houston @ Tennessee
Gus Johnson, Steve Tasker
  Cincinnati @ Green Bay
Ian Eagle, Rich Gannon

These maps come courtesy of The 506.  It's a must read every week if you live outside of Kansas City.

Those in the blue will get to hear Kevin Harlan on Sunday.  He should be familiar.

The Los Angeles area recently switched from the Patriots v. Jets game to the Chiefs v. Raiders game.  A resurgence of Raider fans in LA?  Doubt it.

The afternoon and primetime games are all listed at The 506.

I wish the Jets vs Pats game was later in the day.

I’d love to watch that game too. Should be a good one.

Im glad somebody else thinks Eagle is a Dbag.

Don't blame me, I voted for content of character.

Why does your map end at the Washington/Montana/ND/Minnesota borders?

WHAT THE HELL AM I GOING TO WATCH?!?!

What about Canada?

If you’re in Canada you get your CBS and Fox directly from a local station somewhere in the US – if you’re not sure where, this website has cable lineups for all major cities. For those with satellite: Bell ExpressVu carries Boston and Seattle channels; StarChoice gives you a choice between Buffalo, Detroit, Seattle or Spokane. CTV and Rogers Sportsnet information is posted in the forum.

Get Sunday ticket Craig.

About $200.00, but I think we are not going to get many Chiefs games this year without it. This is my 4th year, and worth every penny.

Probably get the f****in Bills game like every other week.

by saskwatch on Sep 18, 2009 12:17 PM CDT up reply actions

Here you go craig.

All the provinces in the tan colour will not be receiving the Chiefs game.

by saskwatch on Sep 18, 2009 12:23 PM CDT up reply actions

Haha thanks

I actually did get Sunday NFL ticket. We have probably the best sports bar of all time here in Calgary so I went there last year but it ended up costing my much more in drinks and food and tips to the big tittied waitresses with slutty cut off jerseys that I just ended up buying it.

I’ll probably still do to the bar :)

Thats what my brothers

are going to watch in Washington…but hes more of a Packers fan anyways….On the other hand…
SD is showing another Chiefs game! =] I can’t remember when its happened two sundays in a row…

I can only hope

that it’s the 2nd game that’s on locally here – I’ll get the TN game as it’s local, but I believe they have to put up another on CBS/FOX or whatever.

I hate living in St. Louis

It drives me absolutely insane that I’m always forced to pay hundreds of dollars just to watch Chiefs games despite living in the same state that they play in. Rams games shouldn’t interfere. They’re in the NFC and usually on FOX.

by Yashi on Sep 18, 2009 10:32 AM CDT reply actions

I'm with you Yashi.

You’d think they could show both, but no. We get Bengals/Packers? I mean, who cares?

Atlanta

No games @ all :(. At least give us the Pats-Jets…

Must have change their minds

“The Los Angeles area recently switched from the Patriots v. Jets game to the Chiefs v. Raiders game. A resurgence of Raider fans in LA? Doubt it.”

According to the 506 the LA affiliates changed back to the NE-Jets game this morning.

In L.A.

we’ve always had Raiders and Chargers games by default as their both considered the closest to home teams in our market, the surprise is actually seeing them switch it to NE/NYJ. But sadly the reason they made it NE/NYJ is because of Sanchez and the absolutely disgusting USC worship that comes with SoCal. Can’t wait to see Cal destroy them this season.

It might be something to do with that game being over hyped all week.

I mean it’s a good game as it is, but with Jets players and Ryan keeping them in the news all week it’s become over hyped IMO.

by chicks_love_chiefs on Sep 18, 2009 12:58 PM CDT up reply actions

Not overhyped IMO

That’s going to be one helluva game. Jets are gonna win.

by Chiefsfan1970 on Sep 18, 2009 1:14 PM CDT up reply actions

Not a chance

They beat a Texans team that is known for underperforming early in the season on an annual basis (unless of course they draw a Herm coached team in week 1). The Pats are coming off of a prayer of a win that they should’ve lost and are probably out to make a statement this week and prove that they’re still the best in the game.

Should be a good game...but damn its all over..anywhere they are talking about football.

Jet / Pats

Cowboys home opener

Eagles QB situation

That about it.

Sadly, I have to endure Texans and Cowboys every week.
And then this morining I see the Today Show sucking Jerry Jones off because of his monument to himself. I just want to vomit.

I can’t believe that they’re not showing it here!

"America's team" my ass!

I’m an American and I hate the fucking Cowboys. Doesn’t my opinion count?

by Chiefsfan1970 on Sep 18, 2009 10:55 AM CDT reply actions

Doesn't all of ours count!

Who decided that they were “Americas team” anyways?
I hope we smash on the Cowboys. My friend keeps talking shit about the Chiefs and saying that they will win easily when they play us. He even thinks they are going to the Superbowl, ha!
Stupid Cowboy fans….

by Wrestler189s on Sep 18, 2009 11:04 AM CDT up reply actions

I believe it was Gil Brandt that glossed them "Americas team"

I could be wrong though. I like Brandt. For a guy that sounds like he is 98, he still knows ALOT about football.

by craig in calgary on Sep 18, 2009 11:06 AM CDT up reply actions

He probably does know alot....

but not that the Cowboys are Americas Team=]

by Wrestler189s on Sep 18, 2009 11:08 AM CDT up reply actions

Nope, I was wrong

Bob Ryan, the Vice President and editor-in-chief of NFL Films, coined this for the Cowboys in 1979. After preparing and editing the team’s 1978 season highlight film he had to come up with a title for the film. He was quoted as saying:

I wanted to come up with a different twist on their team highlight film. I noticed then, and had noticed earlier, that wherever the Cowboys played, you saw people in the stands with Cowboys jerseys and hats and pennants. Plus, they were always the national game on television.

During the Cowboys’ first game of the 1979 season, a nationally televised game against the St. Louis Cardinals (which Dallas won 22-21), the television announcer for CBS introduced the Cowboys as America’s Team and the name stuck.

Dallas’s Hall of Fame coach Tom Landry originally did not approve of the appellation of America’s Team. He felt that it would give opposing teams extra incentive to play harder. Eventually he gave in and actually came to like the name

freakin new mexico...or freakin cable company...

i make a lot of sacrifices to live here in sw co…but it blows my mind that we still only get abq news stations he in sw co. that means no big 12…no afc west and most importantly, no chiefs. it drives me crazy…and then depresses me after watching abq news.

by MountainManMike on Sep 18, 2009 3:38 PM CDT reply actions

Yeah, I didn't expect this one to get shown in the mid-atlantic

At one time this game would’ve been the Sunday nighter or even Monday Night game.

I will bring it up on justin.tv and hope for a good connection.

by tebunker on Sep 18, 2009 3:39 PM CDT reply actions

Don't get why...

here in Hawaii we get the Pats game when we have more Oakland/Charger fans then anything…I mean CA is a hop across the pond

I hate Iowa.

It’s either Minnesota Green Bay or Chicago. This week its Green Bay. I literally fall short of the KC game. I live on the mississippi in iowa. in that little nook in the far east middle section. dam.
also, i think we should do this everyweek. that way i can see if i get to see them or not.
