AP tailgate for home opener?
Hey guys,
After a lot of debating on which game I would go to this year, if I could afford any, I came across some good seats for this weekends game vs. the HATED Raiders. I have seats in section 334 Row 6. I am so amped to be there for opening day and can't wait to see the stadium improvements. I am pumped to be a part of the SEA OF RED and the loudest stadium in the NFL.
After paying $20/each for 2 seats to each of the last four home games ( 20 rows up, lower section, corner endzone) it is hard to pay $80 for an upper level seat. Love my chiefs though!
I remember there being a discussion about a possible AP Tailgate party or just a place to meet up with some guys on here. Is this still going on?? Just thought it would be cool to meet up with all of the people from AP that are headed to the home opener. I will be wearing my AP Wolfpack shirt along with my DT Jersey.
My g/f and I will be driving up from Springfield on Sun. morning. We usually get to the stadim around 9 or 9:30 and mix a few drinks before we walk across the parking lot and head in. We park across the street at the gas station and there is only two of us, so tailgating doesn't really happen. I was just wanting to see if we could meet up with anyone from AP.
If anyone has any plans to meet anywhere in the parking lot, please let me know.

C Lot
Usually C-7 is the placed to be, but this season, C-7 is Gold lot. So the party can now be found in C-8. Just follow the clouds of smoke (ganj not bbq ;) ……
I'd rather die on my feet than be living on my knees
C-8
That sounds like fun. I have walked around and met people before the game but I was hoping there was a gathering of AP people so I would feel a little less akward. I just don’t want to walk up to someone BBQ ing and but in.
Not really lookin to eat anyones food or anything, just some conversation and drinks before the game
It is a new Era at Arrowhead. I do not yet know if it is one of greatness or one of ineptitude. I am excited to see which way it goes, and will support my team until the end, bitter or sweet!
I'm going next month ....
coming in from Cali and my friend and are will be walking in loaded with beer & we WILL be looking to eat some of this great KC tailgating food we hear about all the way over here with some awesome Chiefs fans. Of course we’ll give some $$ to whomever will take us in & show us a good time…..lol
It’ll be my first trip to KC ever so I’m looking foward to it. I’ll post as we get closer to see who may be at that game & would like some company :)

I went in 2006
I also live in California so making a trip across the country is always tough, but trust me, Arrowhead stadium is HEAVEN. It is well worth all the effort. This year I’m going to the game in Philly, but I definitely wanna go to Arrowhead again next year.
For justice we must go to Don Pioli
Came from CA last year
Played survivor—tailgate style. Walked around the lot w/ no beer and bot beers off of random folks as we went. Some people were nice enough to just give us some. Ended up meeting some old HS buddies of mine when I grew up in KC—I stole beer from them :)—I had a blast but it was a lot different from when I grew up with the construction.
Not C8, C9.
C8 is more towards the middle of C, we want to be on the edge nearest lot B.

C9 It is
Is there going to be a group of you guys?
How would I know who you are so I don’t go up to random strangers?
Any Ideas?

We need AP flags or something.

Here's a thought
Maybe someone should do T-shirts that say Arrowhead Pride on them and people wear them to the game ... hmmm

Reguardless of whom meets up with whom, we want pictures!
Please take your cameras and get plenty of pics for Chiefs opening day tailgate. Obviously a lot of people here at AP can’t be there for the game and would love to see pics of the tailgating. I would submit that we could even forward some pics to the Chiefs fans that are currently serving in Afghanistan and Iraq to let them know we support and miss them here back home and on AP.

They Charge You
- I believe it is a conoco. It is $15 to park and a short walk. A lot quicker to get out as well.

And HIV 2 Elway will continue his AP meetup in Week 3
still gonna have to meet up in Philly. Anyone know if that Chiefs bar in South Philly that Vermeil visited with NFL films is still around?

I'll be there, get in touch.
Looking like my Philly contact may be flaking so I may be flying solo.

Count me in.
I am guessing someone has a big enough pit for a crowd of APers. Also, how much is it to park without a parking pass $20?
I lost my pen. May I borrow yours?
