Available talent: Baskett, Runyan, Walker, etc.
Seems like there are quite a few players out there now who should be of interest to KC.
For handy reference, here are some of them:
Are any of these guys better than what we have now? Who else is out there who should be on the list? Must be some defensive players available who would be upgrades. (And don't say Pollard, he had his shot and couldn't make this team.)

Have you found any info on Long?
Havent read anywhere that he was released but at the same time his Wiki page has him listed as a free agent now.

Guess we find out in the morning then if we put a claim on him.
Would be surprised if Detroit did but StLouis may take a look at him.

I think Detroit goes after McBride, myself.
No question. Otis Taylor should be in the Hall of Fame.

AZ probably wants him to clear waivers to go to the PS
maybe they are trying to keep it quiet

I'd bet my left nut Runyan is an Eagle by the end of the day
Their RT is out for the year, and thats probably where he wants to be.

I thought
that activating Vick today & releasing Basket to make room on the 53 man roster was it? Didn’t they also get Garcia? Guess we’ll see some more moves?

Craig, you mean their starting G is out for the year.
Stacy Andrews is their RT, Seawn andrew is their RG or LG. Seawn Andrews is the one thats out for the year. I dont think I spelled seawn right though. But Runyan plays T, so unless they think he can play guard then I doubt they pick him up. Besides why isnt Levi Jones on that list. I would rather have him, he is a better player and younger. If he can stay healthy(big If) He could make this O Line very decent.

Who is Steve Justce and, is he any good?
We need a starting Center in a bad way.

never even started at C
1 start at LG…
probably not an upgrade.

We don't know if Justice would be an upgrade at C
because Indy never played him there?

I think Justice
was listed on a few draft boards as the number 1 or 2 center coming out of the draft in 2008 (ended up being a 2nd round pick i think). Colts didn’t really need him at Center since the have Jeff Saturday, so they tried him at guard.

He used to play for the Panthers
He was a backup who got a few starts at the time but not very good.

langston and walker
look promising. Walker is tall, fast, and smart (academic standout in HS and college) seems like a lot of potential there and he fits a role we need filled: field stretcher. Hes also a special teams stud
Walker was on a good O line.

what?
Langston Walker is the O Lineman…
who is “tall fast and smart” ?

gotta put Leonard Pope on the list
sounds like he worked out here…
Pioli sometimes hesitates before signing a guy after he works out for the team… he may still be a Chief

Justice
Justice was a very good college player who never really got a shot at C with the Colts because they have Jeff Saturday. In college, he was smart and fundamentally sound.
If I were the GM, I’d add Baskett, Walker and Justice, and cut Copper, Wade Smith and Gutierrez to make the room.
I actually like Copper more than most everyone else here does because he’s a good special teams guy, but with Wade signed, they really don’t need him anymore.

Wade Smith has played good this preseason.
I wouldnt cut him for a guy like Justice, you dont even know what he brings to the table. He could be a straight bust. I would add Baskett if you can and cut Copper. I would actually take Levi Jones over Langston Walker. Walker didnt play good last year, maybe he could turn it around but I think if your gonna risk a signing on an o linemen with question marks you go for the more talented one, thats Jones, if he can stay healthy he is the best OLmen we would have besides Waters maybe. Again he is even a risk because of health.
