Head Coach for a day (This Sunday)
If I had my wish and was granted Head Coach for a day, I would have picked this Sunday. What a true pleasure it will be for Todd Haley to introduce the new Kansas City Chiefs to the world. Anyways I have come up with a short list of the things I would do for this game.
1) Start out the game in a hurry up offense - The Steelers won their game by finally going to this strategy when they found they couldnt win the game averaging 1.3 yards per carry. This would be very far removed from the mindset of the Ravens coaching staff who would not expect this from us.
2) Call the first play from the sideline before the offense takes the field - Why is it that when an offense is on the sideline and they come in to run their first offensive plays, that they have to huddle up? Was someone busy on the sideline and not able to hear the play called, or the snap count set? Run out there, lineup and snap the damn ball when the whistle blows. Surely we could catch them with the wrong defensive manpower.
3) Throw the damn ball down the field on the first play - Open up the warmups practicing with a two back set and only one Wideout. Take the field on our first posession with three wideouts and catch them off guard. Play action of course.
4) Hit them first and hit them the hardest - There's nothing like getting a guys attention than knocking the crap out of them first. Don't wait until the fourth quarter to make them wish they were playing someone else, do it on the first series.
5) With a clean hit, knock the shat out of Ray Lewis! - He is their voice and they will fold if he is made to begin doubting himself.
6) Take everything Herm did in the last three years to screw up this offense and burn it - Haley needs to assert his offensive mindset early and often in this game.
7) Believe. - The Ravens are a very good team, no doubt. But we only have to be better than them one day out of 365, we only have to be better than them 3 hours out of the 24 in that day. We can win this game for nothing else but for every player who has ever been fortunate enough to be granted the privileged of wearing the Arrow Head logo on their helmet. This is what its all about. Gentlemen you not only represent the Chiefs organization, but you represent the millions of fans across the Country and around the World. You also represent the many former Chiefs players who were there on that field representing you as a younger child. But most of all, you represent what is undoubtedly the best ownership family in the NFL, the Hunt family. They along with this organization represent everything that is good in professional sports and they do that through the Kansas City Chiefs.
One team, one game and one trophy to bring back to this City once and for all. The Kansas City Chiefs football club; an icon to the world of professional sports. Live it, breath it and believe it - this is your day men!

Ray Lewis will be getting fed a lot of Cox on Sunday.
That never gets old.

you gotta believe in yourself, or no one else will.
anyone who thinks the Chiefs can’t win is kidding themselves.
They can… it’s just a matter of doing it.
I like the idea of catching them off guard and being aggressive to counteract their aggression.

With a clean hit, knock the shat out of Ray Lewis
Why clean? Let Terrance Copper go out there with a lead pipe and hit him in the knees. Who cares if he is suspended.
And so, Craig finds himself leaping from blog to blog, striving to put right what once went wrong, and hoping each time that his next leap, will be the leap home.

How about a Copper Pipe…?

Wrecked
Maybe the Chiefs should fly you in to give the pregame speech.

First play of the scrimmage should be the "Bradley to Thigpen" play.
Speaking of that play, have you seen “The Waterboy” lately? That play was stolen from that movie. Maybe its a good thing Chan was fired if he was creating plays from Adam Sandler movies.

Awesome job!
Hopefully Haley will print this off as he’s trolling on here looking for ideas & put all of these ideas into effect immediately. Our guys are in shape so we need to take advantage of that by starting with the no-huddle & continuing it throughout the whole 1st half putting Ray – Ray & Hakuna Matata :) & others on their heels & leaving them there wondering what had hit them.
This post would make great bulletin board material for the Chiefs also. 50th anniversary of Lamar Hunt starting a league should result in his beloved team bringing the trophy home where it belongs!

Hit Em Hard ,,,, Hit em Fast
I think In any game Football , basketball, hockey anything thats ussually the best way to go at it get out ahead and dont look back …. and they should have the mind set of destroying anyone and everyone not just Ray Lewis …. I just thought of something .. Leave Ray alone but take everyone else out and leave him standing SOLO see how much he talks then … so i guess im sayin .. HEY CHIEFS JUST KILL EM ALL and do flacco like brady hahahhaaha

Rec'd again!!!!
I like your style…Take the WOOD to Flacco and get him looking at the D instead of receivers wondering where the next hit will come from…
“LB? DE? NT? Outside? Inside? Weak side? Strong side? Oh, wait! I was supposed to…WHAM…SLAM…OOOF (that was the wind getting knocked out of him) throw…the…ball…” as Flacco’s helmet goes rolling away…
I can’t wait to see this GAME!!!!
The future is ours KC Chiefs fans!!!!!

Instead, how about LJ stepping over Ray's face?
5) With a clean hit, knock the shat out of Ray Lewis! – He is their voice and they will fold if he is made to begin doubting himself.

Predictions as of 06.24.2009.
Larry Johnson will be a top 3 fantasy pick once again in 2010 (after a monster season in 2009.)
Dwayne Bowe will be a 2009 Pro Bowl selection.
Brandon Flowers will have at least 6 INTs in 2009 season.
Todd Haley will have a sideline shouting match caught on TV yelling at one of his asst. coaches.

There's no better way to start a new season
And break the losing trend… Then to fucking win! So lets start this season off completely differently than the last few, hell lets erase the last few from memory, and lets fully drown the old losing mentality (take it out back and flog it) by doing what the Ravens, and the rest o NFL’dom don’t think- winning. Taking it to them from the first play and never ever letting them get up. Lets plow right the hell over them and let them pick up the pieces wondering what the hell happened the following day!
Lanier you can coach for a day whenever you want.
Hell, maybe we should make that a weekly post to go with the resurgence of good ol Anne Retarte Guppy Friday’s, we could have Coach of the Week Posts on Saturdays.

Great Post...
Some defensive QB pressure would be nice too. Would have liked to have seen more blitzing.
Flacco had all day particularly in the first half…

Coach
I know this is too late for sunday’s game ( Ravens) being that it’s tuesday, but I believe if Haley was as smart about offense as they claim, why didn’t they roll Croyle or Thigpen out to start the game?Continue on until those big boys on the D-Line were exhuasted. In 1985 ‘Da Bears had the 46 D & were kicking Butts.Miami rolled into town with the least effective running QB in all of football (Dan Marino).Yet Shula proceeded to roll him out on almost every play & kicked the bears keisters.I’m not comparing any of our QB’s to Marino except to say Thiggy played better on the run last year.Who knows, but that’s would I would’ve done against the Ravens.
