Chiefs News from the Overnight 9/11
via www.kcchiefs.com
Kind of slim on the news this morning, but that's ok. We're all getting ready to kick the Ravens in the nards.
"It was kind of a cat and mouse game with Ray Lewis because of some of our plays," said Johnson. "Usually you have to stay in there and run hard and keep sticking it in there. I didn’t think it was pretty. I only had one long run and I was running into Ray Lewis for three yards, four yards, five yards.
"Then by the end of the game it magically came out to 100 and some yards. It’s just being tough and staying in there.

KC Star Video: Larry Johnson talks about how tough training camp was, and about the upcoming game in Baltimore.
Cassel wouldn’t say whether he’d lobby to start the game even if he isn’t 100 percent on Sunday, and instead would defer to Haley and the team’s medical staff.
"If I wasn’t able to go, they would hold me back, and that is what their job is," he said, "As long as I am able to walk and get out there, I’ll be ready to go. And it’s their job to pull me back."
Chiefs aren’t shedding any light on Cassel’s status from KC Star
The quote, lifted from the Ravens’ Web site, baltimoreravens.com, was apparently in response to a question from Baltimore reporters on what kind of challenge the Chiefs face opening the season with a new coach, a new quarterback and playing on the road.
Flacco responded, in part: "I don’t think it’s a good way to begin it. We’re going to come in here and play well, and I don’t think they’re really going to want to play us by the end of the game."

So how do the Ravens attack this team on both sides of the ball and come away with a win Sunday? Simply put, they need to play the solid, suffocating defense that they are so well known for, create turnovers and keep the Chiefs away from the big play and quick scoring chances. However, that alone will not win the game and with the offense being unleashed for the second year QB out of Delaware, they expect to feature their new and improved passing game.
How to Beat the Kansas City Chiefs from Baltimore Beatdown
Domonique Foxworth has played against Dwayne Bowe three times in the past two seasons and has a wealth of information on the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver.
Foxworth, however, doesn't plan on relying on that information when Bowe and the Chiefs visit the Ravens on Sunday in the season opener for both teams at M&T Bank Stadium.Foxworth ready to face Bowe from The Baltimore Sun
Whitlock Alert...
McDaniels got punked by Jay Cutler, who forced a trade to the Bears after getting pissed off at McDaniels. Haley pissed off Kansas City all-pro guard Brian Waters at the beginning of the offseason and then Haley started the trend of firing offensive coordinators just before the start of the season. Morris followed Haley and canned Tampa's offensive coordinator.

Former Kansas City Chief Kimble Anders has been named director of athletics for Kansas City schools...
...“Anders brings instant credibility to the job and his desire to see to it that our kids do well on and off the playing field will allow him to succeed as an athletic director,” superintendent Dr. John Covington said in a news release.

ArrowheadPride Getting tired of the "Chiefs unsure if Cassel will play" headlines..
Adam_Schefter Sure seems like I was in the minority on enjoying the BEP's. Lots of people blasting me as if I picked the Browns to win the Super Bowl.
AroundTheHorn See: Curse, Madden RT @Adam_Schefter I've already gotten texts from people that are hearing it's not good for Polamalu. Don't know if true

What is wrong with the KC Star?
Cassel wouldn’t say whether he’d lobby to start the game even if he isn’t 100 percent on Sunday, and instead would defer to Haley and the team’s medical staff.
Followed up by a quote BY CASSEL saying
“As long as I am able to walk and get out there, I’ll be ready to go. And it’s their job to pull me back.”
Well…he is walking isn’t he? He is saying as long as he is on his feet he is going to out there and play and if the medical staff or the coach holds him back he is over ruled.
Yet another example of the Star making something out of nothing.

When you have to face a legitimate time tested sports authority, like ArrowheadPride
everyday, you have to start making news instead of just good old fashioned reporting. See also CBS, NBC, ABC etc…

The star sucks even more than the Baltimore Beatoff
Predictions for 2009:
LJ runs for 1800 yards
Bowe in the pro bowl
Chiefs D finishes in the top 10 in points allowed

I wonder if Coach Haley banned the players from Tweeting during the season?
Thats a couple days in a row without any any player tweets.
And so, Craig finds himself leaping from blog to blog, striving to put right what once went wrong, and hoping each time that his next leap, will be the leap home.

Fine with me...
Tweeting is a privilege. You can tweet when we start winning some games.
