And we've got the Kansas City Chiefs roster cuts from Josh Looney at the mothership. Here's what the Chiefs had to do to get the roster down to 75 players:
- RB Kolby Smith put on IR/PUP list
- WR Devard Darling placed on IR
- Placed OT Cameron Goldberg on waivers
- Terminated the contracts of DE Alfonso Boone and WR Amani Toomer
Of course, roster moves aren't over yet this off season. The Chiefs will cut another 22 players by September 6th.
I have to say the Toomer release surprises me a bit. I guess the Chiefs value veteran Bobby Engram over the veteran Toomer. The Goldberg cut didn't surprise me. I predicted his release earlier this morning.
We'll have more on these cuts later. But for now, what are your initial thoughts?
