A Great Debate

Is going on over at Silver and Black Pride. The link to the post:

http://www.silverandblackpride.com/2009/8/1/972242/raidernation-may-i-have-your#19246910

Alot of interesting subjects have come up here. Over 100 comments on the post. More info after the jump.

Star-divide

I'm fairly new around here but I've had a few posts and comments so I'm sure some of you have seen me around. I'm not familier with block quotes so I'm just going to quote some fans at S&BP the good ol' fashioned way..

"I think the Chargers will win the division by at least three games. I think the Chiefs and Broncos will battle it out to stay out of last place." - Rated-R Superstar

"Predictions for the AFC west are very difficult this year, as it should be a incredibly tight race for last between the Chiefs and Broncos." - noontide

"I am not going to start bragging about our WR’s, because there are certainly more questions than answers there, but thanks to the Chiefs WR’s I also do not think they are the worst in the division." - noontide

"at this point cassel is just as unproved (if not more) than Russell" - naq92

"i think the chiefs main problem last year was not their conditioning, but their pass rush. DBs cant cover WRs all day so if your pass rush isn’t causing pressure, comebacks become a lot more easier." - naq92. This comment was made after I suggested that the chiefs lost 7 games by 7 or less points and we were clearly out of shape. I mentioned that being in shape should prevent some of those games from happening, and that had we been in shape last year, we likely would have won atleast 2 or 3 of those games (notably SD the 2nd time, NYJ or TB) His thinking about the pass rush is correct, BUT am I wrong saying that being out of shape could have affected the pass rush? Am I wrong saying that our OL was out of shape and made more mistakes in the 4th quarter because they were tired, thus putting the D on the field 3/4ths of the time?

Alot of good debate is going on over there. Nothing has gotten out of control or anything. There have been a few jabs here and there but where would the fun be in a rivalry if there wasnt? Currently sitting at 133 comments since August 1st. Come on over and join the fun! It sure helps when theres nothing else to do, after you've read all the news about the Chiefs for the day.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.

What idiot fan would say Cassel is as unproven as Russel. Did they just stop watching tv and live in a corner for the last half of las season?

by popum on Aug 5, 2009 9:48 PM CDT reply actions

Conditioning was certainly a problem

As was lack of halftime adjustments and poor game management. All of which, we can hope, has been fixed. I expect the Chiefs to win a total of 5 – 6 games based on that alone. That is without even considering the roster changes and scheme changes.

(Feel free to quote me if you wanna; I just don’t have time to take on another site.)

Herm even admitted...

After the Tampa and Jets game specifically that he had players on the field that shouldnt have been and that he wasn’t comfortable playing because thats all he had to use.

I know!

I have said so many things that they turned around, twisted up, re-worded, assumed, and used against me. I mentioned the conditioning issue and now they claim I implied that we would have won all 7 games we lost by 7 points or less if we had been in condition..which isnt what I said..at all.

I keep telling dude to quote me but he hasnt done it.

Chiefs are Super Bowl

bound and are going 9-7 right Petey ?? lol they did put lots of words in your mouth

by tomahawk44 on Aug 6, 2009 10:39 AM CDT up reply actions

Didnt they?!

If anyone goes over there, I clearly said atleast twice that I see no less than 6 wins for this season.

I MENTIONED we lost 7 games by 7 or less, but somehow I implied that we were superbowl bound and going 12-4 or 9-7 and winning the division n shit.

Lesson learned?

Never Ever listen to a raiders fan, it’s just not worth the headache.

is it me? or isn't about time the Lamar Hunt trophy belonged to His team?

by KC Fanatic on Aug 6, 2009 7:03 AM CDT reply actions

It's really not.

Have you read the post? I recommend..saving your eyes on it. Theres like 150 comments or close now. Its funny though because of how stupid they look after the way I explain things and they twist it up and spit it back out

Well gee....

We don’t ever say anything bad about the Raiders…..I don’t know why they would bash us? haha

by HeatherChiefsLvr on Aug 6, 2009 10:50 AM CDT reply actions

Say something bad about the raiders? Never.

Except that time I said the raiders are a waste of a football team. Or that time I said Al Davis was a senile old man. Or that time I said that Jamarcus Russel eats babies in the offseason. Or that time I said we would sweep the raiders with our second string. Or that time……okay nevermind haha
