This league is up and down, you never know, who says I’m not chasing ring? Who says we can’t win one here? That’s kind of the way that I’m looking at it. The way the NFL is set up you can go from a two-win season to the Super Bowl. It’s possible, it’s happened and I think we have the players here and I think we have the belief here.

I think this is a great move
When we’ve been discussing FA pickups, this was about the only guy who made sense to me. And now that I’ve gotten to see him answering questions, I feel much better about it. I think he will be fighting for the #2 WR position and could give us some real help in the passing game. It really doesn’t look like we will be a vertical passing team, but the underneath game along with power running could really be fun to watch. What time is kickoff?

This just made too much sense….just like Zach Thomas/Mike Vrabel but on the other side of the ball.

The vertical passing game is fun to watch, and we may see it this season. But I bet the base offense isa safe one, geared to build the confidence of the offense, and Cassell in particular. Sure, there will be some gimmicks (I can’t wait for the inevitable double pass from Cassell to Thigpen, who is in the slot as a WR…is he gonna run it?!? or throw it? or throw it back to Cassell?!? Arrrgggghhh!) but I bet we see alot of 6-10 yard passes at first…keep those damn chains moving and build some rhythm!
Marley will be walking soon...she could probably play Linebacker better than some of the guys we had.

Yeah
My level of optimism is definitely rising. We may yet raid the ranks of the castoffs after the cut-down dates. Mainly a little depth on the lines to go and we’re lookin’ pretty decent for the year. Overall not the most talented in the league but stacked and well-rounded with a ton of young up-and-commers.

I had to finally write something on here after watching his video. What a great addition. He could be our savior on offense this year…i especially liked the part where he said yeah I got a few tricks up my sleeve! I just love the combination of players that Pioli has put together for us. This is one of the greatest days of the Chiefs off-season….dorsey and dj start lighting it up at camp…Redd makes an interception in his first practice….and then freakin amani toomer! This could be the most important date of the off-season…mark it down!

Not in a one-year jump. Usually improving by six or seven games is a major feat. But anything is possible. We sucked last year, but a lot of young talent got a lot of experience which should pay off now. Should we thank Herm for that? NAH.
