wait

just realised that it’s a retired number. sorry, emmitt, no disrespect

Damn it that is Turtle's #

D-Bowe, Mark Bradley, Bobby Engram and Turtle. Four Chiefs WRers. 4 Pro Bowlers.

I heard that since Turtle is so multi-talented, Haley & Co may use him in more than one position.

They may list him as another position to fool other teams, but rotate him regularly as a WR. This may indicate he can wear a number outside of the teens and 80’s per league rules.

I have a source who thinks he may also play both sides of the ball as a FS & WR, and in fact is already practicing in the position.

He went on to say that Turtle is devastating when he sprints at a ball carrier, then pulls himself into his shell at the last second, and lays obliterating hits with his shell of fury. He may play all 60 minutes every game.

Did Turtle pass the conditioning test?

Haven’t seen anything on Gretz about it

Negative Ghost Rider the pattern is full...

reports are saying that turtle started the conditioning test with the rest of the team

but is only about halfway through it. It’s unclear whether or not he’s still trying to complete the test or if he’s making his way towards the exit door of the facility in light of the Toomer signing. Keep your head up Turtle!

more good news today too

From Looney:

2:16 PM – DT Glenn Dorsey is in full pads and appears poised to make his camp debut. LB Derrick Johnson is also dressed out today.

Chiefs go 9-7. LJ makes 1400 yards. DBowe makes 1200 yards. Defense #18.

It is Turtle that Looney saw

this is the first time Looney has noticed him because he is usually just a green blur on the ground. Today, however, he stopped to take a drink of water.

On a serious note

You guys do realize that if Toomer wears #13 that we will be calling him Turtle right?

and that he will make the Pro Bowl, right?

Marley will be walking soon...she could probably play Linebacker better than some of the guys we had.

Between Engram, Toomer, Vrabel, and Thomas

LOL

dablueguy should appreciate that. a little humor for da Toomer.
Guess we won’t be checking exact birthdates to find out if we’re the youngest team this year.

Well

we can see where being the youngest team got us…

no kidding..

youth only works with some wisdom to lead it. I think we’re headed in the right direction.

Well...some special teams action

From Looney:

3:18 PM – An update from the special teams world – K Ryan Succop knocks down his first three attempts in field goal period, but DE Wallace Gilberry ends the bid for a perfect four-of-four by getting a paw on the final attempt.
I don’t really expect Gilberry to make it, but nice to see he’s trying. Of course, if he can do a lot of that he may be a ST guy.

Chiefs go 9-7. LJ makes 1400 yards. DBowe makes 1200 yards. Defense #18.

Toomer thus far

“New Chiefs WR Amani Toomer made a nice leaping catch along the sidelines on a hot, high throw from QB Ingle Martin.”

that was from Bob Gretz’s live feed on cbssportsline.com
