NFL Game Center: Houston Texans at Kansas City Chiefs - 2009 Preseason Week 1
We're presuming this is the play Tyler Thigpen was injured on in the fourth quarter of the Kansas City Chiefs first preseason game against the Houston Texans.
Joel said he saw Thigpen in the locker room after the game and he looked just fine.

Looked like nothing was wrong with him
As far as I could tell. I have no idea how hard it is to hide broken ribs but he walked and talked just fine.

A snake once bit Tyler Thigpin, 3 excruciating days later the snake died.

A roadside Tyler Thigpen exploded in Afghanistan today...
and killed 9 Taliban members.

Thigpen looks at cancer patients
and they miraculously get cured.
He is the Arrow-hey-sues, and he can make a party out of water. The Excellence that Pioli and Haley piss in the mornings is a direct result of how badass Tyler Thigpen makes them.

When Tyler Thigpen does push ups...
He’s not actually pushing up. He’s pushing the earth down.

actually, Croyle is more like a T-Rex flying an F16
I’ll take the TRex/F16 combo over the stripeless zebra with diarrhea of the eyes.
he was injured. injured bad.

"actually, Croyle is more like a T-Rex flying an F16 "
if you mean absolutely terrifying, then sure. His stubby little arms could hardly reach the controls, then of course the trex could barely fit into an f16, lol..
Thigpen is more like America, and Croyle like France. Thigpen is rough and tumble, but at the end of the day he’ll kick your ass just for looking at him funny, go home a eff the prom queen (or a skeleton, but hey, I’m not judging).
Croyle, like France, get’s terrified at the first sign of trouble and tried to fight, only to inevitably just give up, and go back to eating croissants and smoking cigarrettes while nustling his wifes bossom. Hardly manly, terrifying, intimidating, or any other adjective that could adequately fit.
Thigpen is like a kick to the balls. Croyle is like those balls that just got kicked.
Once I got close enough to check the tag on Thigpen, and it said this:

That made me LOL
with its incredible inaccuracy.

So, are you implying the report is fabricated?
by LennytheCool on Aug 31, 2009 8:00 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Nope
We’re just bringing you the news, not sure one way or the other. His agent says he broke two ribs in that game and I’m saying I couldn’t tell in the locker room.

Is his agent a doctor
bound by the hipocratic oath? Or is he some agent that sees the value of his commodity slipping due to a substandard performance during a critical time? You be the judge.
All losses in the 2009 season will be Herm and Carls fault.

I'm going to believe it
based the fact that he didn’t try and scramble at all. He didn’t look to run, rather he was just flushed out of the pocket. like the play where he threw the ball at sean ryans (i think feet) was just to keep him from getting hit. I doubt he even saw ryan. even if they are bruised ribs those can still suck. the funny thing about this thread is that if it were brodie that were hurt everyone would believe it. none of you have seen the MRI for cassel but you believe he is hurt.
by Stan13ag on Aug 31, 2009 9:40 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Apples don't taste much like Oranges
Cassel left the field in pain after 3 plays. Why would we NOT believe he was hurt? Thigpen looked characteristically terrible against Seattle and, assuming he IS injured, lied to the coaching staff about it.
We know Thigpen has always seemed like a fairly “no-nonsense” kinda guy which is why, when coupled with the timing and source of this information as well as the amount of pain 2 broken ribs usually causes, we’re having a bit of a tough time swallowing this pill.
Either someone is lying/exaggerating or there’s something missing from this story.

they did show his face on the side lines after the hit and he looked in pain.
Herm is gone things are better with that one move!!

Agent might just be exaggerating.
Bruised ribs still mess with you. If the ribs were busted, you could shoot him up, but it’s risky. Cracked ribs, still risky. Probably some truth that he took a helluva hit.
No question. Otis Taylor should be in the Hall of Fame.

all im saying is
why sit out a full week with croyle and guitierez playing well if nothing was wrong with you. Unless you are looking to be cut. something was wrong whether they are broke cracked or bruised. he actually didnt even go strait back to the huddle after the late hit, he paced around for a bit
by Stan13ag on Aug 31, 2009 10:04 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
And what I'm saying is
If the coaching staff knew he had an injury that severe they would not have let him play AT ALL against Seattle. That’s just opening yourself up for all kinds of legal problems.
Either he lied to the coaches and trainers, which is a very bad sign, or he sucks more than we thought and his agent is lying to cover for him.
Bask in the glory that is Kwame Harris. Poor Alex...
by JHWK on Aug 31, 2009 10:19 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Not cracked or broken or whatever..
he would have been rolling on the ground trying desperately to breath. The boys at AP may not say it, but I will call a lie a lie. Agents will say anthing to keep the value up.
