Zach Thomas retires
Just reported on ESPN/ Monday Night Countdown.
This is a slight heart breaker.
We've found Corey Mays but we've lost a guy that provided leadership and knew what he was doing. Derrick Johnson now must step up big time regardless of his 3rd string demotion over a minor ankle injury.
Who does Pioli go after next? And now we only need to cut 4 players by tomoorow any thoughts as to who these four will be? This is interesting and even though Mays has played well hurts our defensive outlook this year.

Wow thats a shocker.
Pretty big loss but thankfully Mays has stepped up and played great.

Tyson Jackson was looking pretty good Saturday night...

wouldn't have mattered
Curry is an OLB and Thomas is an MLB. Had we drafted Curry, we’d still be out an MLB.
Curry can play any LB position
he would have been a good pick.
though, Jackson has been looking like a smart pick, too.
I’m not complaining about that anymore.

LB
Mays is the starter
Belcher is the backup
DJ plays the other inside backer
Beisel and Demorrio Williams make the roster as backups
Not a bad group of LB… even without the grizzled vet.
I was looking forward to Zach playing, though

This is probably...
for the best. I think Mays is a better player today than Thomas. We need the roster spot to develop more talent. I’m sure we will get someone off waivers. There were a lot of good ILBs in the last draft and one of them might get waived. The Ravens can’t possibly keep all of their talent at that position. Look for us to snag either J Phillips out of TCU or D Ellerbe out of Georgia.

we should hire this guy right now to come in as a linebackers coach right freakin now hes at home loungin get that guy or even zack fuck it have him be a linebacker coach
FOUR F'S FIND UM FEEL UM FUGUM FORGET UM.
hell...
ZT already HAS BEEN the Chiefs’ LB coach.
why not keep him in that role?
