Big Move Needed on O-Line
I would like to see the Chiefs make a BIG move to acquire a SOLID O-lineman for the right side this week. I know that we need to be frugile with our draft choices, but it would not bother me a bit to see Pioli trade one of our two 2nd round draft choices for a SOLID right tackle or right guard.
I may even be ok with seeing him trade next year’s 1st round draft pick for someone among the league’s top that we can keep over there for several years. I don’t know if that’s his style, but we have to protect Cassel once he is back and give LJ and J. Charles a chance to gain some momentum. Sending away early draft picks may not be part of Pioli's history, but we have to bet that seeing #1 QB go down on Saturday is making him at least consider some options.
Do you agree that we should trade an early draft pick to help the o-line? Who do you think we could get for a 1st rounder or for a 2nd rounder? Do you think Pioli would do it?
Maybe Thigphen could be packaged with a middle rounder for a solid o-lineman.

Agree
about the TE position. Blocking is a joke! Is Levi Jones that bad? Why haven’t we worked him out? Is he still a FA?
I want K.C. Wolfs' job!
Still a FA but, he's a LT and we don't have time to teach him a new position.
He’s not that good anyway. Ask Carson Palmer.

deep breath
The Chiefs made a move, bringing in Alleman and Ndukwe. We haven’t even seen who is going to start yet. They have only been with the team a week or so.
I, for one, am not panicking just because Cassel got a minor injury.
The OL is a work in progress, and they could use another piece or two.
But, they aren’t going to panic and trade the farm for some big name player.
Pioli and Haley will do what they’ve been doing all offseason and bring in players they think can help with a specific role, and go from there.
It’ll be fine. enough with the doomsday talk, please.

* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season
+1
Its getting a little old. Even now with Gailey I dont understand the panic. Our head coach was the offensive coordinator in the superbowl last year leading one of the best offenses in the league and almost beating one of the best defenses. Really how much of a drop off will their be?

MOVE COX TO RT, MAKE JACKSON THE FULLBACK ........
and Brokie Croyle to the tight end position.
"..Not worried because Cassel's injury is minor"
Are you serious? What if it was? That could have easily been a torn MCL out for the year just like brodie. It’s the damn line that hurt brodie. Herm drafted him knowing about the injury problems, so why didn’t he protect him? Pioli isn’t that dumb he knows he’s got to give cassel a better shot at staying alive. Send Thiggy and a draft pick get a good right tackle. Someone out there is willing.
