The O Line
I've gotta vent and after seeing the injury to Cassel, I have to question why only ONE move was made to address the offensive line. Nothing against Goff (He's a Hawkeye, can't hate him for that) but he was not the upgrade that the Chiefs needed. The team has returned 4 of the 5 starters from last year and it has not turned out well. To think that a new and better addition at QB and a rejuvenated LJ would solve the problem is just ascine. IMO, the o line is where the offense succeeds or fails and clearly we are failing at this point. LJ has no where to run and Cassel has to run for his life. I don't know what can be addressed at this point, but I would love to see Waters moved to C, Colin Brown at RT, and two new Guards brought in to shore up the gaps we currently have. Until management takes care of the line issues, the great KC return to glory is going to be stuck spinning its tires.

Hmm I don't see Waters at C
He’s one of the best guards in the league, and him and Albert are killing people on our left side. It’s everything else that needs fixing. I didn’t like the fact that we made small moves on our offensive line, but at this point what else can we do? We have our second rounder and Thiggy to trade, though I can’t picture us trading for a quality, top RG/RT.

Strength on the line
Our left side is good, so we shouldn’t mess that up as well by moving Waters to center. Part of the problem right now is the lack of consistency and familiarity. The line has to know each other and work together for a long time. I think the coaching staff is trying to put some familiarity back on the line where they know each other and how they work. DMack may not be the best, but he did improve last year and has worked to improve his game in the off season.
Not saying that the line is good, but just saying that moving everyone around all the time won’t fix the problem. This is why I quit posting after the draft for so long…I was shocked that we didn’t work on the O-Line in the early FA and early draft.

more than 1 move
Goff, Alleman, Ndukwe, Brown
They are making moves to improve, but doing it their way. It’s not necessary (or even effective) to bring in every big name OL that is out there.
They can improve this line with the guys on the roster… give them a chance.
Ndukwe and Alleman just played their FIRST game with KC.
everyone is freaking out bc Cassel got hurt, but it’s not the end of the world, and the line will be OK for the regular season
"I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
