My players that should make a difference:
I am so glad that there is only one more preseason game left. I am ready for some real football. You know sports are bad when they are broadcasting soccer. After reading training camp posts and watching the first three preseason games I have a glimpse of an evaluation of some players that can really impact this team
1) Flowers is my top. Barring injury he has been a stud. Nice run back on the td. When he was out we got torched by them birds. He will be a pro-bowler.
2) Tamba is next. He made himself look like a bitch last year. He has that anger back. He might not get a lot of sacks but qb's are gonna get knocked around and hes gonna get in their heads and cause plays to f-up. That's almost as good as a sack.
3) The LSU trio: 3 first round picks from LSU in three years. I guess its true, the SEC is college football's NFL. Except we here in SoCal represent USC. Whether you like them or not, none of you SEC teams want a piece of Carroll and the boys from the Coliseum. Anyways, Bowe and Jackson have looked good and I'm convinced that Dorsey next to Jackson will be a dominant force. Why would they get worse when they were in college dominating together? Better coaches, conditioning, and practice will make for a dominate line. By the way, has D-Bowe dropped any passes in the pre-season yet? Haley is gonna be on his ass all year, so I expect a big year.
4) Mayes: This guy does not want to look like a dud for the third time. He has a charge and has something to prove. He might take the place for Zach.
5) L.J. Ya I said it. He's gonna get used a lot if we can't protect the qb. He still can't block, so he will be a primary runner. If he can get 25 carries a game, he will start wearing down defenses. Remember the stat on every time he ran for over a hundred yards the Chiefs won. I think Herm ruined that, put it is still a high percentage of games won. He has a lot of legs left. Don't give up on him because he has a shitty attitude. I think when we start winning again, you will see his attitude change.
6) Tony: Oh ya, we traded our best offensive player. I forgot. Pioli's first Carl move.
One more question for you AP peeps. Did Herm bring Chan over because of Croyle? I though I remember reading that, but I could be wrong. Are we gonna see him as our week one starter if Cassel can't go. Be kinda of funny if he did good finally. To bad we have an O-line that would put him out for the season again.
Anyways, sorry if anyone is is some crappy weather. Its a nice 85 and brezzy right now so I'm gonna go and enjoy not sweating.

Agreed on Flowers
What would we be saying if we didn’t have him? It would be rough.

Surtain
was rumored to the Broncos but nothing every happened there Im pretty sure hes still jobless
Good post!
I agree with you on everything except the Tony thing ;)
I know you only offered glimpse, but a couple of other names that I think will be big factors this year are Charles, if he can hang onto the ball he’s gonna be dangerous. Also I think “Old Guys” can be big this year. We have a group of seasoned LB’s and WR’s that will prove to be very important. Collectively, they’ll take a lot of pressure of the younger guys in their respective position groups.
Braccae illae virides cum subucula rosea et tunica Caledonia-quam elenganter concinnatur!
Agree
with JC. Charles will be huge this year because his hands are solid out of the backfield and he can make things happen. I would also like to add Brandon Carr. He’s holding down his side as well. And I also believe that DJ will do great things this year. It’s beginning to sound like a broken record, but I truly believe he is going to thrive in this defense and being mentored by ZT. Speaking of old guys, I really liked the way Ron Edwards played NT on Saturday. I think Tyler is going to have a tough job uprooting this boy…
Put this in your pipe and smoke it:
1. Chiefs will be at least 8-8 and vie for division champs
2. DJ will break out and finally have his year
3. LJ returns to form
4. DBowe drops will reduce

Where Are the.......
KC’s o-line sucks big time (on one side for sure). which leaves me thinking …… Haley told B.Waters that he could get 22 players off the street that could win, if thats the case where are they ???? and outta 22 I’m sure a few of them could work on the o-line.
22 off the street!
He said he could win 2 games with 22 guys off the street:
Knowing full well that we play Oakland & Denver both twice, so I think that is a pretty safe statement!
:)
